Popped in here today for a much needed cuppa with family. Convenient from the train station. The lady that served us was lovely. Happy and cheerful, service with a smile. Had a bit of a wait, but didn't mind as they were busy. Spotlessly clean inside shop but toilets need more checks for cleanliness. They obviously get used loads. No window. Could do with air fresheners and change of air. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and refreshments.

Slow service, ordered two drinks which took 20 mimutes to come and they came 10 minutes apart. This is not the first time I've been to this Starbucks and this has happened. When ordering drinks i would expect at least them to come out at the same time. Working in a restaurant, I understand the strains on staff but when there are 3 customers and takes 20 mins to get 2 coffees at the same time, it is not acceptable.

Went in in a quiet period, and there was a gentleman infront of me waiting to be served. the girls working we’re stood behind the back talking with their back to us so I wondered if they knew we were waiting, I was in a rush as you would expect between trains and I said excuse me to grab the girls attention as they may not have seen that we were waiting, all that was needed was “oh I’m sorry guys what would you like?” Instead I was greeted by a naturally blonde girl with a scowl and her sassily snappily telling me “we are talking about a customer complaint that we’re sorting…” I mean that’s fine but I didn’t ask? I just wanted you to notice your customers waiting so we could be served I didn’t care if they were talking about tiktok we all have convos at work, I was then served by a girl with facial peircings, who might aswell have grunted at me even after I warmly ordered my coffee and tried to amend the issue through my tone, but no they continued to sulk and scowl and decided to wipe down surfaces instead of putting ice into my cup to finish the coffee making me wait longer… again I said thank you because I wasn’t going to rise to the attitude given, but for how expensive your products are, your staffs service should really be to a higher standard, and I work in hospitality so I know how it is but wouldn’t evert greet and talk to one of my customers like they have. Coffee wasn’t that great either tbh haha, anyways, all the best, hope they have a better day next time and drop the rudeness from their...

I'm writing this as a cautionary tale. During my visit, my phone got stolen by two men who distracted my partner and I by asking where a football stadium on a magazine they were holding was. By the time they had bolted out of the store, I realised too late that my phone was gone. While the staff were really lovely, kind and tried to reassure me that there was a chance my phone would be found, I knew it was gone. After speaking to the police, I realised there is a reason why these petty thefts keep happening: because they know they can get away with it.

If you find yourself in a similar situation, make sure you hold onto your phone when you respond to these sorts of people, OR get some form of warranty for your phone...

Never will use this STARBUCKS again. The lady serving at the counter didn't even take my name.

When I waited at the end as what I thought was my drink being given out. Someone else waiting took it and then just left it aside by the window without anyone touching it at all.

They did make me another one but it turned out to be flavourless just too icy instead.

When serving others they were asking for their name.

The other STARBUCKS on Upper Parliament Street is much better and at least my drink had flavour this time.

My local STARBUCKS they know me well and always make sure my Frapichino...
