I've been to this location twice and cannot say enough about the above reproach customer service ( I wish I could recall the name of the person at the front desk during the day. She has raised the bar so high in demeanor and willingness to accommodate), the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, and other amenities that are offered.
On both of the occasions that I was there, I wanted to just do a quick getaway from the city (I'm a local). While I have stayed in my share of casino hotels, I did not expect the Hampton Inn to be on par with, if not surpass in certain instances, the casino hotel experiences that I've had.
In each room that I stayed in, everything was pristine. The bedding, furniture, and bathroom alike. The choice in color scheme of the rooms are appealing to me (very soft and muted grayish blue?) I'd even say it has "relaxation" properties, if that makes sense. In addition, I appreciate the selection of bath and body products ("Zero"), in that they were basically chosen with perhaps the health-conscious person in mind. I even found a comfy blanket in its packaging in the closet that came in handy when the just tight temperature for me from the a/c became a bit too chilly for my partner.
I had the complimentary breakfast during my second stay. I was quite surprised by the assortment: bagels, danish, omelets, potatoes. All very delicious. There's also a waffle maker for you to make your own waffle. How cool is that?
Although I didn't take advantage of the following amenities, they deserve honorable mentions: the cocktail bar, indoor swimming pool, and coffee and tea services. I'm sure I'll try those out at some point during one of my future visits.
I also chose my visits on off days during the week, so both stays were exceptionally quiet. I barely heard other guests' comings and going, or otherwise any other intrusive noises. Now that it is basically off season at the shore, I'd imagine that anyone booking a room at this time should have a similar experience, perhaps even on a weekend...
Thanks Hampton! I'll...
Read moreOn July 17, 2025, around 3-3:30pm, I was in the hotel lobby crowded with people when a black man walked in. The black female manager asked him "Can I help you with anything?" The man kept walking past her, to the elevator. The black female manager, however, ran to alert security and the other staff, that a black man was trespassing in the hotel. She described him, ready to call the police, only to find he was a guest at the hotel. The crowd started snickering. Later that night, the black man approached her and asked "Do you still need to help me? and smiled. Her behavior towards him was as if it was his fault that she stereotyped and profiled one of her own. You would expect her behavior from a white person but for a black female to do so, and try to be loud about it as if he did more than just walk in and go to the elevator. He said nothing to her except "Are you serious" when she asked him , basically, what are you doing in here like she was talking to a child. Then, when the man clearly attempted to break the ice she treated him like he wasn't welcomed. Her tone and demeanor was disrespectful and all the man did was smile and walk away. This is a good hotel but it's hiring black females to interact with people is a mistake because they think womanhood depends on emasculating men. The appropriate question was Do you have a reservation or are you visiting another guest - if a question has to be asked to one black man in a crowd of white people. Not the ghetto approach as if he was violating her hood, trying to embarrass him in front of a room full of people. But us black men can not claim racism or bigotry or racial profiling when the accuser is a black female - who bent over backwards to show her white colleagues she wasn't like "them" only to hear her white coworkers ask her what her...

(Best part about the whole thing they weren't even busy so it wasn't like they didn't have the time and for the money they charge at that place especially a top rated I've been through a lot of places been around a long time it might look nice but when you don't get service and you don't get what you pay for nothing Else matters so like I say I hope it helps someone else before they get trapped into something the owners wouldn't care about this too much money too important but the average people know what it's...
