TLDR: This hotel has broken AC in lobby and public spaces, stairs are broken and only work in one irection, AC in rooms is very loud when turning on, bathtub is basically joined to the toilet. the hot water does not get hot for like an hour and a half. Pillows are strange, complimentary coffee is only accompanied by four sugars...
While I am sure this hotel has had better days, somehow garnering 4.2 stars. I can say that my stay at this Hilton was less than desirable and surely not worthy of the Hilton branding. I came into town with my girlfriend to play the role of best man in a friends weding, the first sign that something was wrong were the lines at check in, the lack of luggage carts, an an immense amount of fitness competition posters in the lobby. The next issue, the elevators. Of the three available for use, only two were working... not a big deal right? Stay tuned. After making our way to the room, we settled in to a facade that appeared to be straight out of the early 2000's. I immediately scoped out the bathroom, as I do, an noticed that the toilet was within inches of the tiny builder-grade bathtub... meh whatever I said. After travelling the entire morning, I just wanted to shower and get going to the rehearsal... here is the next issue with the room, the shower had NO HOT WATER... and barely trickled any out towards the end of my session. Now I know there was a fitness competition or whatever and ice plunges are apparently a thing now... but not in a Hilton hotel shower... Day comes to an end and we lay down to sleep, comfortable bed, strange deflating goose down pillows but the kicker, and the next issue on this exhaustive list in less than 24 hours, the AC sounds like someone is breaking into your room every time it kicks on... jarring us awake every so often, oh and speaking of the AC, the AC in the public spaces was also not working when we arrived... shameful. After waking up we were heaed down the hallway to the elevators, the two that we thought were working, to get coffee in the lobby, and found that only one elevator was now functioning. Great... being on the top floor, we stopped at every floor and gathered more and more people that were blissfully unaware of the weight limit or OTIS suggested capacity sign... our lives endangered by this Hiltons complete disregard for maintenance of basic hotel amenities. We made it down eight floors in about ten minutes... We sat and drank coffee and decided to just take the stairs back up to our room, since the line for the one elevator was long and ironically filled with the fitness competition guests staying at the hotel... we looked for the staircase and when we couldnt find it asked the hotel front desk where to find it... this is where this review spawned. The hotel attendant let us know that there are stairs for emergencies only, so you can go down and out... but not in to any floor. This seems like a grave misuse of staircase which, last time I checked, work in both directions? And especially in a time when you have one of three elevators working with a full house of guests... Seems like making a temporary exception to let the stairs work freely as God intended might have been a good idea... Anyways, if you made it this far, good for you, you might be overpaying for auto insuranc.... just kidding. At the time of writing this review we have one more night in this disasterous hotel... so there may be some edits and updates... please...

Read moreWe were in room 648, staying for 5 nights for a football event for my son. I noticed bugs like the ones in the attached photo on the vanity countertop of the bathroom on the second night. I killed probably 4-5 of them, and hoped that would resolve the issue, but I still saw 1-2 bugs each time my son or I used the bathroom. On the morning of the 3rd day, I noticed more bugs, like 7-8 this time, so I notified the front desk. They said that they would send housekeeping for a cleaning. We left for football all day on the 3rd day, but when we returned late that night I noticed there were still bugs on the vanity countertop. I found one in the cap of my mouthwash (my mouthwash had been closed and I noticed it when I opened the mouthwash). I went to the front desk again, they offered for us to change rooms the next morning, but we couldn't because we were going to another day of football. When we returned later on the 4th, I asked about moving rooms and we moved from room 648 to 643. I was hoping to avoid moving rooms as we had a lot of stuff, but I was not going to stay in a room where bugs were getting into my mouthwash. My son has also been complaining of bug bites, see the attached picture where he is getting bit up all down his leg.
I am a Hilton gold member and really expected a cleaner room. The lack of cleanliness in the bathroom, and the inconvenience of having to go buy new toiletries, move rooms during our stay, and my son deal with the bug bites really soured this trip for us. I raised all of the above, including additional videos of the bugs, to the Hotel Manager and asked her to do something about our bill. She refused. I called the Hilton Corporate Customer Service line and they said per their corporate policy any bug issue is left to the discretion of the hotel manager. So I'm left paying full price for this horrible and unsanitary experience.
I've loved Hilton and had mostly great experiences prior to this. Really contemplating if I'll stay at a...
