Hotel location/ease of access: The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Disneyland / The Grand Californian Hotel. It is just across the street from Disney's employee parking lot.||Hotel parking: At the time of our stay, there was no charge for parking at the hotel. They do charge a $10/night "resort" fee, since this is a standard-type Quality Inn, I am validating that in my mind as a parking charge, as in my opinion, this is not a resort-style hotel.||Hotel Amenities: ||Pool: We stayed mid-May 2024 and the outside pool was heated to 75F. The spa was appropriately heated to 102F. The pool and spa were sparkling clean and I observed them being cleaned and chemicals checked every morning of our stay.||Breakfast: The breakfast was good. The staff member in charge of the breakfast service ensured that all the food was refreshed in a timely manner.||Elevator:: This hotel has 2 floors. This hotel does not have elevators.||Non-smoking hotel: This hotel claims to be a 100% non-smoking hotel. Our experience demonstrated this claim to be true. Our room (#110) did not smell of smoke. We also did not encounter the smell of smoke in the public areas.||Room space/comfort level: Our room was spacious and had 2 Queen sized beds and 1 double bed. The beds were clean, fresh, well-made and comfortable.||Room Location/Noise level: We were assigned room 110, which is a ground level room. We did not hear anyone in the room next door to us. We did hear people walking and talking in the corridor outside, but it was not intrusive.||Room: ||The AC unit in the room blew directly onto the double bed. This might be an issue for some, but for us we switched occupants around so the hottest sleeper in the family slept in that bed.||Flooring: The room had wood laminate flooring and it was clean.||Lighting in room: We were unable to stop the light from coming in underneath the curtains in the room. ||Hotel staff: The staff at this hotel were professional, helpful and kind. I requested an extra comforter upon check-in and it was provided very quickly!||Overall: ||Pros: The location was perfect. The room and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. Hot tub was awesome. Hotel staff were professional and helpful. Free parking.||Cons: Some corridor noise. Lots of light underneath the curtains. No elevator.||Pet peeves: Pool only heated to 75*F. $10/night "resort" fee.||In the future when we go to this area, we will happily stay at this...
Read moreThis review is long overdue! I stayed with my family of 4 back in July for 5 days. We picked this hotel because of the location to Disneyland, free breakfast, and the pool. I would say it’s about a 15 minute walk to the entrance of Downtown Disney (20-25 mins at the end of the day with tired littles) but there’s so much shade that it’s really not a bad walk at all. Nothing uphill and only about 2 crosswalks to get through. The free breakfast was very plentiful with eggs, sausage, waffle stations, fruit, pastries/donuts etc. and there was lots of outdoor seating in their garden area. Very pretty! It was nice that we didn’t have to worry about where we’re going to eat in the morning. The hotel is also located right next to a Denny’s. Our room was on the second floor with our balcony facing the pool. The pool and hot tub were clean every time we went (every day we were there!) and they had designated pool towels to use. The rooms were nice with a desk, two chairs, fridge and microwave. We had some trouble hooking the tv up to the WiFi but it was OK because we were pretty much only at the hotel to sleep after Disney, so the regular cable channels worked just fine. There’s lots of parking and we felt good leaving our car there throughout the day because they had security cameras throughout the lot. The thing I liked most was the staff! Every single one from the cleaners to the front desk were amazing!! Karen in particular was so helpful with navigating around the city and giving us recommendations. We liked this hotel so much that we decided to stay for two extra days and she was able to accommodate that so we can stay in our same room. I can’t recommend this place enough and I would...
Read moreWe stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Disneyland.||Overall the hotel is slightly dated and would benefit from a substantial refit. Our room was pretty dark and there was definitely a smell of damp. That said, it was definitely clean and the housekeeping staff clearly work hard to keep on top of things. ||The hotel is walkable to both Disneyland, and downtown Disney. It’s definitely not the closest hotel, expect it to take 25 minutes walk to get to the park entrance barriers. The area feels pretty safe at all times of the day, we walked back at 10pm after the fireworks and it didn’t feel unsafe. ||Parking is free of charge, and there was plenty of it. There is parking at both the front and the rear of the hotel, and good sized spaces. Parking around Disneyland can get expensive, the free parking at this hotel was one of the reasons we chose it. ||Breakfast can get very busy, and the breakfast area (basically the lobby) is undersized for the dozens of rooms. After 7.30am there were long lines for breakfast, particularly the waffle makers. There are 4 (yes, only 4) tables inside though quite a few more outside in the back yard area. The yard area is very nice, and it was pleasant to eat breakfast outside. Breakfast is the usual make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, coffee, juice. Pretty basic but good to grab and go. ||The staff are definitely a high point of the hotel. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful.||Lastly the pool should also get a mention. Whilst not the biggest it was one of the deepest pools we’ve used, and the kids had fun away...
