Read moreI went to Vidcon 2019 at Anaheim convention center. Anaheim convention center is humongous it’s a great place to hold a convention. Vidcon was so much fun it was my first time going. You might be thinking what is Vidcon well its a Social media convention it’s the biggest in the country. All the biggest YouTube or‘s Instagram, Snapchat, all the big people of social media platform are there. They have workshops they have booths, games, there so much stuff to do its crazy. Its a lot to take in. People from all over the world come to vidcon. Its a great Convention to go to to have fun get content ,get Contacts, be creative and learn. The booths give out so much free stuff it’s unbelievable. There’s different packages that you can purchase. The convention is four days. I got the industry package and that was the most expensive. The industry package you get to go to all the classes a.k.a. workshops there is a industry lounge you get breakfast and lunch for three days. Two things that I’m disappointed about vidcon is 1. In the industry lounge it was not set up correctly they didn’t have enough tables and chairs for people to sit down to eat and talk to people. People were eating lunch on the floor on top of trash cans anywhere they could because they didn’t have enough tables and chairs. The industry package cost me $760 and to be sitting on the floor eating is very disappointing. Second disappointment is we were told that we could go to all of the lounges with the industry badge and that’s not true you could not go to the YouTube lounge. YouTube was only for the creators and the big people that work with YouTube. So those are my two big disappointments next year I hope they do a better job with setting up chairs and tables for people in the lounges. The rooms are big so they had the space to set up tables and chairs but I don’t know why that wasn’t done. This convention is for all ages. You learn a lot and I will go next year. People dont...
Read moreAttended the volleyball tournament at the arena tonight. Staff were all INCREDIBLY rude and unhelpful. Literally every employee that we had the misfortune to interact with was unnecessarily impolite, with the sole exception of cleaners. They made everyone wait in metal detectors lines for hours before they started letting people in, without any explanations or manners for that matter, and made many people late for the game start. 30 minutes before the last game started, they started VERY RUDELY hoarding every single attendee out towards the lobby (saying MOVE BACK!! KEEP MOVING!! in a very aggressive tone, again, without please or thank you), even though almost immediately afterwards they started letting people back in. What was the point?? When we tried asking the security guards in charge of it, they just looked at us, turned around and left???? In the middle of it all, they suddenly had the urge to double-check if people had tickets, same people that they already scanned in and gave wristbands to, and they did it completely randomly, superficially and frankly pointlessly and quickly gave up. And the cherry on top came after the games ended and everyone was leaving, when we were told that we aren’t allowed to use the indoor connecting walkway to reach the parking lot (which btw cost $20???), which we used to get there in the first place? Even though it was open and there were people literally using it, and the parking lot in question was on the other side of the lot from the arena, a very very very long walk which takes over 20 minutes even with a shortcut.
I don’t know if the people working there that day were poorly instructed, indifferent, or just widely incompetent. I honestly can’t remember last time I experienced such bad service, and it ruined the experience for me and my group. The games themselves were great though. Wending machine drinks were only $1.50. Very...
