Bay Breeze Cottages — Hotel in Anna Maria island

We stayed in the Mahi-Mahi. Very nice place, first thing first. Loved all of the extra accommodations, near the beach, and can walk/ bike/ golf cart everywhere. Secondly, Dan and Goose (on-site support were pleasant to interact with and super helpful/ accommodating). The place is clean, well taken care of and right near the ocean. Can’t beat that… loved the stay.

Our issue was the actual booking process. They charged us 300 more than what was agreed upon in our initial statement when we booked. When you make a booking, they DO NOT send you a receipt. They also will not respond to emails/ requests until you arrive and bill you fully before you arrive. After we attempted to talk to the booking side of the department, we still ended up paying 300 more than what we thought and were pleasantly told that we were just wrong (told it was in season versus out of season in January) and did not have any documentation to prove otherwise because it was not provided.

So… if you like the place go ahead and stay, but TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF THE PAYMENT before booking, because you will not get documentation until it...

The pictures of cottage #1 on Airbnb are extremely deceptive. The cottage was in disrepair and much smaller than what the pics show. We've stayed at many Airbnbs, and this property was by far had the most deceptive and photos. At this price point, I would expect clothes hangers in the closets, somewhere to hang wet towels, clean floors upon arrival. The property manager brought us hangers and an extra pillow needed for 3rd person staying on the sofa bed. Property manager fixed the problem with the door lock and the golf cart. 3 days into our stay we had surprise visitor, Mr. Cockroach. At this point we were done and vacated the premises half way through our intended stay. I contacted the host to inform about our departure. I requested a refund for 3 days and I was refused. I contacted Airbnb and the host promised Airbnb that I would be reimbursed for the 3 days. I have not yet been reimbursed for...

just got back from our family's 3rd trip staying at this property (in #3) and as usual, it just doesn't have any weak points that I could share. We LOVE the pool area!! very spacious. Having the grill as option to cook outdoors - great!
