I cannot speak highly enough about Olive Oil Outpost! This charming gem nestled in the heart of Anna Maria, FL has completely transformed my culinary experience. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly pressed olives fills the air, promising a journey of flavor and quality.
First and foremost, the selection of olive oils here is unparalleled. Each variety is carefully curated, sourced from the finest olive groves around the world. Whether you're looking for a robust, peppery Tuscan blend or a delicate, fruity oil from Greece, Olive Oil Outpost has it all. The staff's expertise shines as they guide you through tastings, offering insights into flavor profiles and pairings that elevate any dish.
But Olive Oil Outpost isn't just about oils; they carry a selection of Italian pasta by Morelli. Personally , I love the Organic black squid ink pasta. Their balsamic vinegars are equally divine. From traditional aged balsamics to unique infused varieties like fig and pomegranate, these vinegars add a burst of complexity to salads, marinades, and desserts.
The commitment to quality extends beyond their products; the customer service here is exceptional. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing their love for olive oil. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a novice cook, they make you feel welcome and valued, ensuring you leave with the perfect selection for your needs.
And let's talk about packaging! The bottles are elegantly designed, making them not only a kitchen staple but also a beautiful addition to any countertop or gift basket.
In summary, Olive Oil Outpost is a culinary haven for anyone who appreciates premium ingredients and exceptional service. Whether you're stocking your own kitchen or searching for the perfect gift for a foodie friend, this place is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore even more of their...
Read moreOriginally loved this store- we stay multiple months on Anna Maria and frequented this store multiple times a week, spending several hundred of dollars a week. Wines, oils, cheeses are delicious. Up until yesterday we thought we had a nice repoire with husband and wife who own in-- traveled to same parts of Italy etc. Yesterday unfortunately a young man behind the cheese counter was so appalling rude to me that both of my girlfriends were uncomfortable enough to put down purchases and leave. A woman we didn't know, who saw the interaction, approached us sympathetically when we left the store.
I've owned many retail stores and the women with me have a restaurant. We all understand the difficulty in getting good help. My friends encouraged me to call the owner, believing he, like us, would want to know about it and nip the behavior in the bud. I spoke to the wife first who was kind and sympathetic but when she put her husband on, he basically said he didn't believe me. I told him exactly what the employee said and exactly what my friends and other customers heard and he claimed he would have heard it from the back office. Really? I said I guess you don't want my business and he said, guess not.
I'm happy for them that they are so flush in business that they can do without my business and that of everyone who watched that interaction. I guess customer service is just not a priority. Wish them the...

The man behind the register, who I think is her husband, could use some lessons in politeness. No matter what you asked him, he's abrupt and seems to resent your business.
Also I realize it's been rough since Covid, and then the hurricanes, but using that as an excuse to drop local-friendly discounts without warning? Waiting to tell you until after you've made your purchase and been rung up, so your choices to remove some items in front of a whole line of people waiting to pay and start the process all over again? Not ok. We were all hit hard by those things.
We used to love coming here, but after a few poor experiences with him, we are actually waiting until our monthly trips to Sarasota and shopping at a specialty cheese store there....
