I was not impressed with my stay it gave luxury stay on the website , that it was not.. The rooms are basic we stayed for the Dallas/Buccuners game. I stayed here because it says Hotel Spa resort I have a broken ankle and I’m using a knee scooter and wasn’t able to join my husband no longer for the game so I wanted to be somewhere where I can pamper myself while he went to the game and have a nice luxury experience if I was gonna be stuck in the room while he was away enjoying the game , this is not a resort and your charged a resort fee of $3.95 per day. I’ve stayed at hotels for way less where rooms that were more up scale . I was very disappointed . My bathroom was not clean there was pee stain on the toilet tissue in the trash can and hair strands in the bath tub. I brought this to the attention of the front desk . She was saying house keeping was already gone for the day she was reluctant to tell manager because she didn’t want to upset him she said, she said he was already upset about something else from a meeting . Manager ended up coming to the front desk because she was texting him and sent photos I shared with her just so happened when I was standing there he came around the corner and asked was everything okay and she told him my complaint. He handled it immediately .. I will say staff was very friendly and the lobby was inviting with all the Christmas decor .. I was disappointed on the restaurant it was like a sports bar the pictures in the website is very deceiving that was another reason I picked the hotel based on the pictures of the restaurant. It was nothing like the pictures AT ALL sports bar setting burgers and fries type place and the burger wasn’t good it was $27 for burger fries and drink I took 2 bites and threw it in the trash very very fast food type burger, fries had way to much Cajun season on it , the waiter was very friendly though.. . I will say out of my stay my best part of it was the salon and spa sparkle and shine. I got my nails and feet done and a facial and that staff was also great and I enjoyed my service .. I’m not saying don’t stay here I can’t say that but what iam saying is for the price it’s giving a nice nice motel 6 in a nice area definitely not Lux hotel spa resort the room furniture is modern needs updating . The hotel spells really nice , however I did hear a guest complaining her room didn’t smell good and she wanted a different room. My room other then the bathroom smelled fine , my room door didn’t close well you had to force it close to make sure it was secured behind you . I will say over all my stay was okay but not what I expected for $864 for 4 nights . I’ll stick with Holiday Inn Express or Hilton /Hampton inn as I normally do . Oh and house keeping never served my room not one time staying the 4 days I had to see them out to get fresh towels and wash clothes and we had to throw our food containers out into the big trash out side the room near the ice machine as to not fell the small trash cans that come into the room . Again I’m not saying don’t stay here I’m just saying the website isn’t what I saw when I got to hotel

The hotel seemed fine lobby wise. The manager picked and chose who he himself would help, and he chose the rich guy with the corvette who was allowed to park it under the awning all night. The room itself was awful. The bed was hard as a board which forced me to sleep on the small chair, because i cannot sleep on a hard bed with the back problems I have, so my poor wife had to sleep on the hard bed. 2nd, the tub would not drain while taking a shower which i assume had something to do with the buildup of hair in the drain. Coupled with pubic hair, and long black hair laying around, this was by far the nastiest bathroom ive ever seen at a "hotel." To top it off, the microwave burnt our food even though we did the recommended time and the mini fridge froze our drinks. I complained to the front desk that we were being forced to leave early due to the conditions and she offered no apology or remorse. I asked for a refund and she said a manager would call me but that hasnt happened yet almost 48 hours later. I should have listened to the reviews but i didnt and thats my fault. Save yourself the time, money and hassle and skip this place. Its worth it to pay a bit more for a better known hotel. Wyndham should condemn this place. Absolutely terrible all around.

Don't do it, go to the Hilton...go to the Marriott, go to the HYATT or one of nearby several more professional cleaner, more reputable options ..for better customer service...better breakfast, and less noise... better wifi connection.. ( I brought work to the hotel) besides the false advertised free hot breakfast being pure carbs and proteinless, the staff seems to not be able to do anything without management and even they seem impossible. The first night was quiet and it was great. We were greeted well. The hotel restaurant is sketchy as far as service initially but we stuck it out and tipped well because it is our practice no matter what..because we didn't want to go out or order in. The second night, mildew smelly, but still ok.. an altercation with them after being told they would rate match our third night turned into a nightmare when they asked us for not only more than our original rate but for late check in fees too... We opted for no late checkout paid the additional night at the regular rate plus tax and just dealt with it...the manager was really rude to my partner...who just walked away to diffuse an already intense miscommunication. I should have just gone with my first mind and checked out right then.. We usually only stay in Hilton or Westin hotels and I do remember why now...you get what you pay for. We stayed due to convenience because its close to my home that is under construction. I came to get rest, relax because I have had a terrible last two weeks and needed a good getaway nearby. When I saw Zuri lounge I should have known then what type of crowd to expect, I should have exited then. I'm not the party type.... I work real hard for what I have and I enjoy a more reserved setting. On night three things took a nose dive towards HORRIBLY WRONG we were awakened out of our sleep at 3am by loud drunken violent arguments...loud banging on what sounded like our door...obscenities threats more kicking the door in... we called downstairs ...after about 15 minutes of it. Nothing.. no one picked up.. after 20 minutes we called again from our cell phones instead of room phone... she was overwhelmed too..at 4:30 am we left our room we were told the people were thrown out, we were first offered an upgrade but then she put opted to put us on the party floor.. Lounge level.. instead.. why???? we just went with it relocated downstairs... my partner was super upset. We got to the room and we didn't get in the door good.. loud music..more partying... I turned around went back to the desk and explained, I just wanted a quiet rest of my night. She then upgrades me as she should have done in the first place... and apologizes.. she was as nice as she could be considering she was scared too. My heart is still racing.. and if you have anxiety issues like me you know this is the worst feeling in the world. Its 5 am .. I should be sleep. But I am wide awake.. not only were we awakened out of our sleep but officers are outside and one employee asks if we saw anything?! I told her no, im just on my way downstairs to be refunded for my night...only to be told she can't do it... THIS WAS THE MOST UNPLEASANT STAY EVER....now I'm up and afraid to leave my room. I had a emergency at our home.. so we had to stay somewhere while construction was completed ......just a bad experience all around..when we called to report it we were hung up on.. and when someone answered she said nothing about compensating us for the violent disturbance...now I can not get back to sleep my heart is racing...im a wreck... I will not stay here again. My partner went down to talk to heidi again about late check out.. and NOW they want to comp us for that.. after all we had to go through.. tonight... I hope to hear from the manager, because I want my entire third night refunded. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN EVER. I brought my family here for a peaceful stay during construction in my home and besides the staff altercation, the railroad upgrade and the violent disturbance I'm convinced it is not safe, or family friendly. No more privately owned...

I had high hopes for this place, but not many expectations. First, the name (and ownership?) was changed! It was the “Lux Wyndham”, and not the Blue Cypress. After check-in, I parked in the handicapped section with my placard, and proceeded slowly down the ramp to retrieve my luggage. I slipped and fell! Some kind guests came to my aid, and I alerted the hotel staff, since I didn’t want anyone else to fall. As far as i know, nothing was done, and I was not even offered an apology. I went to my room, and there was a huge box fan with wheels in the main area of the room, and a long length of plastic tubing in the bathroom sink. I started to feel a little concerned and called the front desk to ask about it. The nice young lady offered no explanation, but said she would change my room. That took 20 - 30 minutes, but the room next door had no leftover equipment in it! The shower was the cheap plastic molded variety, with a bare floor which was dangerously slippery. Upon leaving for the afternoon, I told the nice men at the front desk, warning of the slippery shower (liability!!!), and I requested a rubber mat. I also asked for a towel to clean my car’s interior, which had been soaked by torrential rain the night before. The man was reluctant, but finally agreed to lend me a pool towel if I would leave it in my room when I checked out. Even after I had fallen on their ramp (wearing flat shoes with added traction), nothing was added to my shower and nothing else was said. The hotel is clearly aging, and cutting corners is the name of the game, I suppose. I was shown only one way out and in, and no emergency exit maps were posted. No check-out times, rate notices, or local ordinances were to be found in the room. Maybe because they were in transition? So many of the “amenities” were shoddy, limping along on their last legs. Even my coffee packet had been opened! I was told I needed to ask for housekeeping service, and I’m not certain why. So I did. I took for granted that my room would be refreshed each day - but they didn’t. And it was refreshed, but I had to put a hand towel on the floor of the shower to keep from sliding around. I missed breakfast the first day, but no one informed me what time it was, and I could find it written or posted nowhere. The same problem happened with check-out time. I asked another guest, and hoped for the best. They were clearly understaffed, though I think they sincerely wanted to please. The number of staff was simply inadequate. It was a decent rate, but not nearly good enough to put up with multiple deficiencies. I will tell as many friends as I can (and I know many who travel to the DFW metroplex often) to look elsewhere before they book there. I will book hotels in Arlington often, now tat my daughter is a UTA student. I want to find a “home away from home” that will feel safe, comfortable, and familiar, where the staff will at least make an effort to see that I am physically unharmed. So very disappointing, and I’m still sore from the fall! This new incarnation won’t succeed doing...
