First off, I just wanted to let people know that this hotel supports our veterans 100 %! My ex was long range recon, Airborne Ranger 82nd Division for the United States Army and is a homeless veteran. He finally reached out to get some help from different organizations and they put him up in this hotel u ntil they can find a him a permanent place to live. Sadly, at the same time, the place where my son and I were staying was forclosed on as well! We had to vacate the premises last Friday. This hotel has been amazing to all of us! So, thank you Pear Tree Inn for your patriotism and providing a place to stay for not only him and other veterans, but for myself and my son as well.
Now for the other part of this review, lol. Rooms are clean and the place is quiet for the most part! Even during busy times of day, you can hear everything. The walls are thin, which can be a downside, but honestly, it's not all that bad. This location serves a FIRE complimentary breakfast spread on the daily. The menu consists of things like eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Fruit, cereal, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese , juice, coffee, tea, soda ( pop ) and even hot chocolate for the kiddos. Oh and there is a waffle station to top it all off ! The dining room and the lobby are always sparkling clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son loves to go downstairs every afternoon at about 4 pm and get complimentary popcorn and say hello. Then every night at about 630ish, they have complimentary snacks like nachos and cheese dip, potato chips, and pretzels with your choice of wine or beer ( for those 21 and older of course ) to drink. Location for The Pear Tree Inn is conveniently located right off of the first Arnold exit at hwys55 and 141. You have a QT across the way along with many shopping places and good ol walmart. Rhebhitel is also surrounded by restaurants. You have Sybergs which is great for a sit down meal! They ha e phenomenal hot wings and shark bites (which are basically shark nuggets), beer, wine, and some pretty awesome mixed drinks too. Fast food places are there as well Arby's, McDonald's, and Raising Caine's just to name a few. The only downside to this location is that you can hear hwy pretty clearly during rush hours and the parking lot is small and quaint. This hotel actually shares its lot with Denny's next door and The Drury Inn. There is an outdoor pool here as well, along with on-site laundry foe guests and a fitness center so you dont have to lose your routine! Long story short, this place has everything for your vacationers as well as the business folk on the go! I highly recommend staying here next time your in the...
Read moreI am so frustrated with this Hotel staff and am still waiting for a response from them. Almost two dozen employees of IPEC were staying at WoodSprings Suitesdown the rd from Pear Tree Inn. There was extensive water damage at WoodSprings and the Hotel transferred everyone to Pear Tree untill repairs are completed. I went down to stay with my husband over Christmas and while I was there I found out that since WoodSprings does not have a completion date the rooms have to be approved on a daily basis. So the room key is disabled at 11am everyday. OK , since my husband and about 8 others work the night shift 7pm-7am they get their key changed before they leave at night. While I was there, the front desk asked if I would like a gold key membership with Durry Hotels, sure why not. That is untill I left to come home and my husband called from a another fellows phone because they wouldnt let him back in his room. What I didnt know is that they actually changed my husbands room into my name. So when he went to the front desk before he left for work to get a new key they wouldn't give him one because his name wasn't on the room, even though he had been there for 2 weeks. Even though he is the one who got transferred over from the other hotel. AND they would not talk to him. The front desk actually ignored him. I was on the phone with him while he was trying to talk to someone, anyone, but they would not talk to him. Everything is in his room, he can't get in and he has to leave for work. They wouldnt even talk to me. Finally I hang up and call the Hotel back and ask to talk to a manager. I explain how I think the named changed and beg them to check the address and phone. They finally give him a key, no apologies. Now I find out they are at it again. They knocked on another employees (my brother in law who also works night shift) door at 11am and tell him he has to leave. They say the room has not been paid for and he has to get out. He tries to show them the receipt but they aren't having any conversation with him. He packs up tries to get it straightened out at the front desk, sure enough an hour later, ooops their mistake again. Here is your key. No apologies. I call there and try to find out how these mistakes are happening and they tell me. I have to call WoodSprings. WTH. I am still waiting for a call...
Read moreTravel for work, have stayed here Over 25 times in the past year. It’s a 2 star hotel for sure. Yes, they have breakfast. Yes they have free drinks. Yes, the last two times I’ve checked in have been Terrible. I stayed there and checked in on July 1 and now on July 11. July 1, I stood in the lobby with another patron for over 15 minutes waiting to be helped. The other person in the lobby was there when I walked in and she had the curtesy phone off the hook and calling the front desk. She told me that she had been waiting and it’s “terrible service.” I went outside to tell my spouse that it would be a minute, and I say the front desk person walking around the parking lot. I shouted, “excuse me, are you the pear tree person.” She continued walking. I called drury and asked if they could send someone to check us in and they were aghast at the service. Finally, the person I saw in the parking lot came in and told me to hold on while she answered the phone. It was drury inn asking where she was, she explained she had been taking out the trash. We got to our room and there was a pink and black sock in the closet and hairs on the sheets. ... gross.
I wasn’t going to leave a review since I had okay service previously, then tonight happened. Anne was working tonight. The door was locked so we used the curtesy phone. She rudely said, name on the reservation. I told her my name... she said, “we don’t have a reservation by that name, “ and then immediately hung up. I looks at my wife and I called back and asked if they had any rooms. Anne said, “yes.,You’ll need a credit card and drivers license. “ I walked in a handed her my reservation confirmation and asked, “so, you don’t have a reservation with my name?” ... we had room keys in less than 2 minutes...
I understand shift change but that has nothing to do with me. Do your job. Check me in so I can...
