I've been back several times since 6/24/24. I haven't updated the review up until now since I was in the same room during each reserved date since the above-mentioned time.
During that time, the Motel 6 has been changed to another brand called Park Place, and the shrubs on the North rear side of this building have trimmed down no longer a hiding place or trash dump for the homeless.
I've stayed in Room 110 and 108. The only bad thing thing I've seen in these rooms (and various other rooms in this section) are the pit-bull variety of dogs in the rooms. The rooms having been used by questionable individuals and the homeless friends I've seen go in and out. The carpet in these rooms reflects neglect, abuse, and age. The carpet should be replaced with tile.
6/24/2024 Update
Someone wrote that people of color should not stay here. I don’t agree as everyone has their own unique experience staying here. I’m a person of color (that visibly/audibly doesn’t fall into any “As Seen On TV” stereotypes) and I’m not sure if that has a factor on why the person wrote such a thing.
If you have kids, have the need to be up late, and have to go in and out of your room multiple times of the day or night. Consider the first floor so no one has to hear stomping feet or items hitting the floor all day and possibly all night. If you’re a drug user or have other issues, consider the first floor. Yeah, the first floor may suffer too, but whatever noise is made is better tolerated through the walls than the ceiling.
This is an older building and the way newer hotels are built…they are far better at noise suppression and vibration transmission than a place like this. Expect to hear stuff here that you wouldn’t in buildings built since 2018.
What I have found terribly annoying lately, though, are the homeless and opportunists. The homeless have one or two buddies who will have the means to rent a room(s) and then several people (with animals that are not service pets) whom are the homeless friends will then shack up in the rooms.
These multiple animals make a mess when eating and drinking, and who knows if these animals mistakingly drop feces and urine into the carpet. YOU’LL NEVER KNOW!!!
Come breakfast time these interesting guests spend an extraordinary amount of time building “To-Go” plates, making a mess with the syrup, salt n pepper, butter, drinks, spilled milk and cereal, all up in the way with large dogs on leashes, interesting odors of cigarettes and whatever substances are coming through their pores that have nothing to do with taking a shower. They congregate on the North and South exits, leaving trash, bottles, cigarettes, fast food or vending machine packaging, old tattered clothing, and such on the outside building perimeter.
I noticed that the homeless and even the nearby Motel 6 guests will come over and make plates and then walk right back out. However “YOU”, the paying guest, may have to wait for the young lady to bring more food and drinks out that YOU ARE PAYING FOR IN YOUR HOTEL RATE as the non-paying guest(s) empty the place out.
Other than that, it’s not bad. I just wish they implemented the paying customer breakfast coupon. That would keep the opportunists and homeless from tearing up the place.

The owner asked if I could leave a review. I always have, but you can't write multiple reviews. You can only update your review. I removed prior content going back to 2108 as they no longer applied. However, to reiterate what is written below, this is a great location. It's near excellent and affordable restaurants, entertainment, services, and freeway access...etc.
I always stay here because the rates are good, the breakfast is good and it's near the places I need to visit or want to visit.
As long as the room, sheets, and pillowcases are clean, hot water is available and noise is close to non-existent... I'm good.
Sometimes. You'll see (or hear) people that you prefer didn't stay here, and you have to tolerate the situation, but overall , you can't beat it...

(The following is my personal opinion based on my experience staying 150+ nights here over the years)
I've stayed 70 nights at this location this year alone, I'm a Diamond Member through Choice Hotels. That's over $7000 I've spent this year at this location. They've never had a single issue with me in 5 years of staying off an on. (Stayed 30 nights last year) I've stayed in many of the rooms.
I used to love staying at this hotel until this current wave of management or new owners came in. It has a sentimental value to my family and I and I was willing to overlook things for a time but no more. There is a $100 deposit requirement in case of damages, however you'll find that many of the rooms are already in poor shape. Sheets and floors have stains, damage to doors and furniture, etc. Im not sure how they distinguish who made the damages. In my opinion the $100 charge is to disqualify individuals who only have enough for the room which are going to be predominantly people of color in this area. I've seen many turned away and not checked in because they were unaware of this charge despite already paying online. If a deposit is required for damages you should receive a room without damages
I had a terrible situation arise where a paycheck was lost. Despite paying for so many nights, no assistance was offered. My three children and I were given until 1pm to check out and rushed off the phone. Despite this treatment, I had an Organization that was trying to book me a 14 day reservation at the hotel. They contacted Comfort inn and they refused to take their call. This organization emailed trying to pay for our reservation and was told that they declined the reservation because they DO NOT partner with Non Profit Organizations!? They heard the words "Non-Profit" and declined a two week paid reservation because they thought we were asking them for something. It's greed in its purest form.
Staff is constantly being cursed out by guests, I've been awoken several times by guests in a screaming match with the front desk. They just threaten to call the police and refuse to hear or listen. There is no hospitality here, no care or service, this is a cash flow producing asset. Cleaning ladies are very rude, they have an attitude with any request. They seem to watch people of color very closely when taking advantage of the "free breakfast" of powdered eggs and orange juice from concentrate. A family member seemingly does all the repairs, the cheapest materials are used. The Hotel seems to be minimally maintained likely to maximize profits that would appear to take priority over the customer who provides it.
I will not stay at this location again. I feel sick to my stomach that I've given so much money to people who could care less if I lived or died despite being a...
Read moreThe hospitality and customer service of this location were the worst I have ever encountered from any hotel. I booked two rooms using the online booking tool the day before my intended stay. Upon arrival, I was informed that my stay was booked for the previous day. I said there must have been an error in the booking tool, because I specifically remembered inputting the correct dates. My sister and I both tried to use the tool again, and the dates changed when clicking through pages of the booking process. It did this on both of our phones. My party and I were not happy with the customer service or the lack of a pool so we just decided to book somewhere else. I asked for a refund and then we stayed at Best Western.
When I checked my credit card statement a few days later to see if my refund had come through, I noticed that I was charged for those two rooms AGAIN when I stopped in. This totaled over $560 now charged to my card. I called the first day and explained the problem; I was tolf to called back the next day and speak with Janelle. I called the next day at 2:30 pm and was told that she had left for the day. I called the next day to speak with Janelle who stated that my stay was labeled as a "no show" and that I would not be receiving any money back. She kept harping on the 24 hour cancellation period, but there was no cancellation period because it was a duplicate charge for rooms I never booked! She may have been confused with the other booking for which already had a refund in the process. So I tried to explain the booking tool's error there, and she still refused to help. I had to ask who to speak to above her eventually because she was awful and would not listen to understand. She gave me Kim Yoon's company contact information. I emailed her to tell her the same deal. I also informed her that I had already contacted the Better Business Bureau. I followed that up with contacting my credit card company; they immediately could see the error and started a dispute. I had my money back (for all four rooms) in less than 24 hours after contacting those two businesses. The next morning, I received a reply from Kim stating the same things that Janelle stated about their cancellation policy. She never acknowledged the duplicate charges or the error in their online tool.
I tried to email her back to inform her that this had been resolved, but she blocked my email. Thus, another refusal of service.
This is the customer service you can expect from this place...no service at all and no attempt at understanding clientele concerns. The work ethic across the book comes across as very lazy.
