NOT worth any amount of money. I am not poor and I would not pay a single cent to stay here again.
I did not book, and a credit card was provided by the person who did. That person was not the one to pay, even though it was clearly communicated that that was expected. I was charged two separate holds of $400 during my stay that I was not given a valid reason for, in my opinion. I was told I am not guaranteed that money back, even with it being a hold.
Many problems during my stay. Safety concerns, discrimination, invalidating staff every minute of my stay.
Every employee was outwardly kind because I was level toned and polite. I was accused of being "disrespectful" by the front desk when I was being objectively polite, but stern. I expressed my disagreement politely and that was taken as further disrespect. I apologized genuinely for the interpretation of my words and tone. I was not kicked out, but it was clear I was not welcome.
The housekeeping manager (Alla?) was amazingly helpful, genuinely. All housekeeping employees were. I left a large tip for them specifically.
Honestly there are too many things to remember so I will do my best. My memory is very poor, but these are all events that I can prove.
Safety: fire alarm went off on my floor and the front desk did not know about it until I told them, their front desk phone does not work and they do not believe me on that fact, my room phone didn't work even to call the desk, they were unreachable many times without being there in person, incorrect information at the desk many times about my stay, unavailable information about my stay many times, many individuals entered my room without permission,
Discrimination: this may be more accurate to call accessibility concerns; I was told no one in the building would help me carry my luggage downstairs in light of my disability and inability to carry my things alone
Invalidation: I was told I am "allowed to have my opinions" on whether or not I am a refugee when I expressed my refugee status (being from Florida as a trans man, I am illegal there), it was implied that I am able to carry my own luggage when I expressed I cannot because of my disability, I was told that I was wrong when I said I could not reach the hotel by phone, I was told I "should not" be concerned by a fire alarm test, I was told I "should not" be offended by being told I "should not" do something... I was misgendered constantly but gendered correctly two times with the words "sir" and "he," I was told that I could not be provided a receipt 3 separate times, and when I insisted that I be provided proof of what I was charged I did receive a receipt but for an amount that did not match my bank statements, the manager did not address many of my concerns during my stay even though she promised to, I expressed that I have been kicked out of another hotel (Days Inn Airport) this week and they asked why because they did not trust me which is offensive and invalidating to me
There was much more in my 4 night stay that was extremely unsafe and concerning. I will try to remember more and update this review.
Positive aspects of my stay: The other guests were extremely kind and fun to talk to. I met a 94 year old Austrian woman who insisted upon buying my bird whistle haha. The food. Some of the staff. Namely, Alla deserves the world. I tipped the staff with treble clef paper clips and they appreciated that, though that was not expressed to me directly, and I don't trust that every staff member that helped me received one. I was promised they would. I met two very cute dogs that sat in my lap for a long time :) The bed was very comfortable. The TV worked. The shower was good. I was not kicked out, which was something I expected upon expressing my concerns politely. Read more3 of the times I went to the front desk there was nobody there....to the extent I spent time looking down hallways and saying "hello??" and even knocking on the door inside the food selling area. This includes the time i checked in, and most notably when I came back at night after midnight i wanted to buy a snack and waited 5+ minutes, knocked on the door presumably to your office, kept saying hello, then finally gave up and grabbed a soup and waved it at the camera (if there was one) and said please charge my room!||Secondly, there was hair on the breakfast food so I ended up throwing out my plate and was too grossed out to get another.||Thirdly, there was hair on the bed that wasn't mine, mold on the tub that a quick scrub would have easily taken care of, and paint literally chipping off in the tub. ||Lastly, I was running about 20 min late in traffic for my checkout time -- the manager called and did say it was fine. So then when I came back to front desk and said "Hi I'm about 20 minutes past my checkout time, I spoke with your manager, just need my key adjusted so I can get my belongings". The woman said oh that's not necessary, we haven't checked you out". Hotel 101 is your key stops working after your scheduled checkout time, so I said "no i don't think my key will work since my checkout time was 20 minutes ago". She said I"m sure it will work. So i went upstairs thinking ok maybe they have some system no other marriott has (not really) and as suspected my key didn't work, I came back down frustrated and running late and said "the key did not work, please adjust it so I can grab my belongings". really not sure how she thought the key would still work past my scheduled checkout time... this was NOT a mobile key, so it of course needs to be manually adjusted. ANyway, she adjusted the key with no apology and as a cherry on top I heard someone who might have been the manager says "she's lucky I didn't charge her for a late checkout" as I walked away. Not great to hear as a gold member. ||It also took almost a month for the deposit to be returned to me so I emailed to ask about that and also to make sure I wasn’t charged for Internet and didn’t hear back. Read moreI spend some nights in this hotel and one day my Air Pods 2 and fragrance Burberry Weekend was stolen from my room 133 (it happened 3/08/2025) I know same day housekeeper clean my room and after that my staff missed. I was not in hotel all day that day and next morning it was time to move out from hotel. Night shift couldn’t help me with that they said come back next morning when manager will be here. 03/09. Next morning I came back to front desk I told all this info to manager who worked that day and she said ok, I will try to find it, I will start call housekeeper supervisor and each housekeeper to find it”. I also tracked my air pods and I gave to her address where it was in what house it is Easy to understand what associate did it.
Of course I also made case with police and police told me when hotel will have info and description who clean your room you can give this information to detective. Then I moved out from hotel and when I was out of city manager called me back and she said: good news I have your staff in front desk I asked her to sent it to me in Kansas, because I just start my vacation and it was not my plan to come back in Denver She said no problem I will sent it to you.
And now 3/31/2025 I still can see my AirPods2 fresh location it is in hotel I called them today and admin told me she don’t know where it is, it is not there, all managers who may know where it is doesn’t work here anymore, so she will not help me with this.
