horrible experience
I called this hotel days before arrival saying I would be arriving around midnight. They said there will someone there to check me in, no problem. I arrive at 12:05 am. There is no one there, but there is a number to call. I call. they say someone will be there in 15 mins. after 20 minutes, there's still no one. I call again. the story is 10 minutes. again noone there. I wait 15 minutes and call again. This time they have no time estimate and no solution. They offer to cancel the reservation. But, well, you know there's really not another place I can go to at nearly 1am without a reservation. However, at this point someone arrives. You think things would improve and it would take a few minutes to checkin, but nope, turns out that the night audit runs between 1 and 1:30 am and apparenty all systems stop working. So, my person stops midway during the checking process and disappears until 1:30 without explanation. I find out later its the nightly audits. Now, its 1:30 am and we get the key, but alas, it doesn't work. So, try again and again. etc. we are now at 1:45 am. Ultimately trying 5 times. She has to use the manager master pass to get us into the room, but we still don't have a working key.
There are other hotels that they simply text or email you the key code to get into your room. No need for all this hassle. Cheaper for them and better for me. Many airbnb also use key codes for a lock box for entry. That works well. Again, avoids all this problems.
There is supposed to be a complentary breakfast from 6am to 9:30am. It's 8 am and nothing is there. Looked again at 9 AM and still nothing. When I asked why the answer was it ls not there, which us stating the obvious, and a lack of care.
Room had paper thin walls and lots of road noise.
I expect a business to actually do what they say. This hotel fails miserably in doing that.
In my many years, I've stayed at many hotels across a variety of price points at a variety of locations throughout North America, including cheaper hotels than this one. I've had early checkIn and late checkin and very late checkin, depending on the logistics. I've never experienced before this 100 minute fiasco with what is normally around 5 minutes.
When a hotel promises a breakfast, there is always something. It maybe just a sweet roll, but at least they technically fulfilled their promise. This hotel didn't even bother to do that, and didn't care.
Worst hotel experience ever.
I do expect to be traveling in the Denver area in the future, I won't be staying here ever again, and would advise others...
Read moreI called around 2pm on the day of our arrival to let them know that we would be arriving very late (around 1:30 am). The person with whom I spoke said that she prechecked me in and that we would be in Rm 213 and that she would go check after we got off the phone to make sure the room was ready. Due to travel delays we arrived closer to 3:30am. I explained that I had called that afternoon and prechecked in and the person I spoke with said we would be in Rm 213. The woman at the front desk said she needed to go check the room. She came back about 5 minutes later saying "that's why we always check. I need to make up the bed." So we waited in the lobby for about another 15 minutes, exhausted from our long travels. Then she came back down and said it was ready. When we got to the room, one bed appeared to have clean sheets but when I pulled back the covers on the other bed, there were crumbs and stains on the sheets. Since we had 3 people, we needed to use both beds but we were too tired to wait for her to change the 2nd bed. Then in the morning I went down to get a cup of coffee and they said that they were "out of coffee". There was also no coffee service or way to prepare coffee in our room. And the hotel website listed free breakfast as one of the amenities but the only offering were some prepackaged muffins. No beverages, fruit, toast, nothing. It is completely false advertising to say that they offer a free breakfast. Especially if they can't even provide coffee! I do want to credit both the woman that I spoke with over the phone that afternoon and the woman who greeted us at 3:30am and was still there in the morning. Both were very friendly and apologetic but really the lack of clean linens and lack of coffee is just unacceptable! Also the "free" internet wouldn't work unless I agreed to pay for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Extended stay airport , and I just have to take a moment to rave about one of their incredible employees, Legacy. From the moment we arrived, Legacy greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious energy that instantly made us feel at home. Her amazing personality truly set the tone for our entire stay!
Throughout our time at the hotel, Legacy went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met.
