Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Denver

This location is beyond compare. I've been to Sonic before, less and less as years went on during to the lessening quality of the food and the service. In April, I went for my usual chicken strip dinner. Much to my chagrin, no advertising was done to alert me or any other faithful followers that they had DISCONTINUED gravy in the meal. Shameful, right? I swore to myself I wouldn't go back, the food is always dry and CD and barely much more than cardboard... but there I was in May, sitting in the drive thru, still pouty over the loss of the only condiment to genuinely speak of and as the young woman approached my vehicle, the cup of Sprite exploded as I grabbed it. She wasn't holding it firmly enough for the half applied lid to function as part of the integrity of the cup. Boom. Sprite EVERYWHERE. What did the little stoner teenager do to rectify the situation? Nothing. She stood there, higher than giraffe tail, laughing at me uncontrollably. They replaced the drink but made no attempt to apologize, no refund, and no professionalism came from the manager, probably the one who got these kids high in the first place. The other night, I had no other choices before me. I was hungry and if I wanted food, it would have to be Sonic. I was reluctant. The line for the drive thru was wrapped around the building twice. Customers in front of me we're indecisive and cruel... but they had that line moving fast. They were knocking out meals almost instantaneously. When I finally got mine? Chicken: perfection. Tator tots: crispy and soft SIMULTANEOUSLY. Onion rings: so fine, I wasn't even angry there was only one in the meal for the first time in... ever. I almost, ALMOST, didn't...

UPDATE 9/16/22: I got and email for $1 grilled cheese if you order in the app. It also says that you can get a half price drink with it. When I paid I was charged more for the grilled cheese. $2.19. When I asked about it they said you can't have 2 half price items. Clearly the picture I posted says differently. UPDATE: This location made my strawberry cheesecake shake VANILLA. It did have a cheery on top with whip cream and graham cracker crust so I figured it was correct. When I got home it was vanilla. I put it in the freezer to take back when I left the house again. They wanted to CHARGE ME TO MAKE IT CORRECTLY cause I had drank part of it. Then they said since I didn't have the receipt they could do nothing. Now I'm pretty easy going... Not so much today. I did get my shake remade and I did not pay for it again. I was told that if you don't come back within the hour there is nothing they can do. I asked a very simple question. What if I am driving to the mountains and have now traveled an hour west. I finally drink my shake, they are thick so it would not be unusual to wait. Beware using debit or credit cards at Chambers location. Yesterday I used the drive thru. I used my debit card to pay. The girl handed it back saying it was declined. I knew I had plenty of$$ on it, but I figured it was just a technical glitch. So I paid with a credit card. She gave me the credit card and my receipt. Something just didn't seem right so I immediately parked and pulled up my debit card account on my phone. Sure enough the charge was there and on my credit card. I asked to see the manager. The Mexican girl did not seem to understand my problem that I was charged on both cards. At first she said I would have to come back in a few days, after they had run their books. I said no I want a refund now. A few minutes later a guy asked if I needed help. I explained the situation to him and and showed him my account info. After several more minutes of arguing I finally got a cash refund But it was very flustration and they acted like I was lying or something and that they didn't know what I was talking about.
