NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN: Came in town for a Funeral 😥 to bury our granny. My brother told us there is a Burlington coat factory here. Once we entered we all went our separate ways to find something to wear to represent Granny. We ended up spending $400.00. I purchased a pair of Donna Karen leather boots for 50.00. I tried them on in store but like most customers try them on walk around for a min and then make your decision. I didn't put boots back on until we got to the Church. I put them on and had to walk through gravel to get to the church entrance. The boot had no grip at bottom so I knew I had to be careful while walking but I literally ALMOST BROKE MY ANKLE, when I slid ( boot wasn't on even 10min when I took them off for the rest of the service and went back to Burlington nxt day). Had my receipt and boots had a few dents at bottom from the gravel and me sliding across the parking lot. FROM THE TIME I MADE IT TO THE REGISTER, the young lady INVESTIGATED MY RECEIPT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO GET OVER ON THEM. Looked over the boots for like 3min and then says I gotta get permission from the manager. Wait for her to come (5min wait). Walked over looked at the boots and said" You wore these" I say yes I put them on in the truck and walked to church entrance before I literally slid and almost broke my ankle. Manager ( Hispanic lady, black hair pulled back in a bun). Didn't even give me eye contact, the tone in her voice was so NASTY and there is absolutely NO CARE AND CONCERN FOR CUSTOMERS, SHES JUST THERE TO DO A JOB GET PAID AN GO HOME. Tells me because I wore them they wouldn't take them back and I asked her to go into more details and she looked at me and WALKED OFF. This is the person you guys have to represent your store SMH 😡. I'd Never ever spend another dollar at ANY BURLINGTON LOCATIONS. THIS EXPERIENCE LEFT SUCH AN HORRIBLE TASTE IN MY MOUTH. WELL AT LEAST THEY GOT 400.00 OUT OF ME. Receipt does state in unused condition, like new. Leather wasn't scuffed up bottom had a little dent on bottom from the rocks and me sliding but wasn't bad. If I saw them on the shelf I'll still buy it. Not to mention slot of the dresses I tried on were musty under the arms or stains on them from customers bringing them back but completely dismissed me and my issue. SHAME ON BURLINGTON...
Read moreI would love to give 5-stars but I'm giving 4-stars. They lost my layaway after I had put 2 in on same day. They could only fully recover a one of them fully. But 5-stars to April working last night who came to help her fellow co worker figure out how to make things right. She was very sweet & really made a difficult experience so much easier to cope with after compromising for my lost layaway. She also had a great attitude checking us out the first day I came to pick up my layaway before I found out it was misplaced. I do love my discount fashion & items & I will continue to shop there due to their problem solving skills. Even Mark the store manager was kind & reassuring that he'd find my items & we'd be compensated correctly if when I came back to pick up layaway & they were still missing items. No full 5-Stars because the woman who saw the new girl Adrianna struggling to do layaways for me did not have much patience or try to stay to help.. no hard feelings to new girl that woman should've helped her. Read moreI had a return with no receipt and asked if they could look it up by phone number. The supervisor or mgr, not sure title, and I won't post her name on this review as a courtesy was called up. She said she couldn't find the receipt and I couldn't get a merchandise card because they don't do that anymore. Then said this was changed because of theft, basically saying I probably stole it. I left and came back after I looked up the return policy. It's also posted at every register!!!Which, by the way, says "Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. Non-receipted returns, accompanied by a photo ID (driver’s license, state issued non-driver ID, passport, or military ID) and returns after 60 days will receive a merchandise credit for the lowest selling price." Luckily Choudhury was able to locate the purchase using my debit card and refunded. He is also the best cashier that store has. He's always fast and friendly.
