Place was clean enough, not too old, and affordable. Stay was fine, but not superb. Active employee on duty (male, ~35yrs) was insanely rude for no reason whatsoever. I was effectively being forced to explain myself in a rude tone as to why my reservation name was different than my name on my license. If he took 5 seconds to read my middle name, it is verbatim spelled “Threadgill” and the reservation was under “Gill”. I offered a confirmation number to which he explained “wouldn’t matter” after I explained the name debacle. I would honestly recommend NOT staying here just to avoid this individual. I put more blame on the owners, as they need to seriously consider properly training the sole employee on duty at the time on how to have a normal conversation with normal human beings that are traveling. The business is called “hospitality” but this employee was everything but hospitable or understanding. Afterwards, he offered to print our Acadia park pass if we emailed it to him, which we did. When my wife went back into the check-in room to ask him to print our pass, no-kidding, his response was “I didn’t even think you were listening to me.” Wow. Incredibly rude, and a completely unnecessary comment when a simple “You’re welcome” would suffice. I understand that it sometimes will take effort from both parties involved to figure out a reservation, but this man refused to be friendly or accommodating in any way possible trying to figure out our reservation. Awful behavior that I would only expect from a young teen who just had their...

After a 4 and a half hour drive to the motel A few minutes after arriving at the motel, I received a phone call about a family emergency and that my father was on his way to the hospital after a heart attack. I asked them if they could please help me get a refund and cancel my reservation because of the emergency, and explained them that now I have to drive 5 hours back home.

The lady at the front desk was really unkind to me and said that they just can't help because the reservation is through Booking. We called Booking and they said there is no problem at all getting a refund, if the motel approves it. Booking sent them an email asking them to consider the situation and help us. My feeling is that they are just taking advantage of people at such a difficult and painful moment. You can show some compassion and understanding to people whose having an emergency!!!! My father is in the hospital!!!

I do not recommend you to go to such an inhumane place. Awful...

Many reviews that I read made comments on the age of the motel. This place has almost completely achieved the effect of being so old that it's a vintage getaway. The rooms are small but very clean. The mattresses could use to be replaced, but they're really not bad. Just a little bouncy. Parking was wonderful. It was quiet. Checking in was simple. The only complaints I have are too minor to deduct stars. The old TVs are on stands that are too low. The TVs aren't the problem, just the strangely low stands. There weren't any shades for the frosted windows in the door which let in a good bit of light overnight. Finally, most of the wiring hasn't been updated to 3 prong outlets. My house is wired the same way so it's a frustration that I'm used to, but if I weren't I can imagine that I would be annoyed by having to find the right kind of outlet to plug in my laptop. Overall this place was great and I'm a little sad that we only spent...

Great value, clean and comfortable place for the night. For an older motel, it's extremely well-maintained and is a perfect landing pad when you're gonna be out all day anyway. Don't expect a resort, but it's a great value and a good clean spacious place to sleep every night-very close to the national park. They are just outside of the busy downtown area too which is good for night. The rooms appear to be remodeled. Nice comfortable bed and hot shower with good pressure. I’d stay here again. I would recommend to the owners that some lighting is installed on the stairs for the rooms in the 60 and 70 series. Each motel room light was on lighting the walkways, but getting up the stairs was a little more difficult in the dark.

This is our second time staying here - we had such a great experience the first time that we had to stay again. The rooms are comfortable and the price truly can’t be beat. It’s also only a 3 minute drive down the road to Acadia and Bar Harbor! However, the reason we keep coming back is that this motel is by far the CLEANEST place I have ever stayed at. No dust, stains, or dirt in sight. They even dusted behind the television!! The housekeepers are wonderful (they fold the towels into the cutest animals!). I highly recommend this motel.

Recently booked a stay here as rates were so much more reasonable. I wasn’t expecting much, but the motel surpassed my expectations. Great location for driving into downtown bar harbor. Super clean room, and the maid service went way above and beyond, leaving towel “animals” on the bed each day. Spacious room that fit our pack and play while still leaving space for our toddler to play.
