Our stay at the Hampton Inn Bar Harbor was nothing short of amazing. Traveling with my mother, who has MS, means we have specific needs to ensure a comfortable and stress-free trip. This hotel went above and beyond to meet every one of them — from accessibility to outstanding service — making our visit truly special.||Cleanliness & Comfort:|The cleanliness of the hotel was among the best I’ve ever seen. Every area, from the guest rooms to the common spaces, was spotless. The overall atmosphere was calming, comfortable, and welcoming — exactly what we needed.||Outstanding Customer Service – Our Shout Outs:|We want to personally thank the incredible team who made our stay so memorable:||Manager on Duty – Aidan:|Aidan set the tone from the very beginning. He was responsive and kind during our initial calls, ensuring that some items we shipped ahead arrived safely. He greeted us warmly upon arrival and checked in with us throughout our stay. His leadership and attentiveness did not go unnoticed.||Front Desk Team – Cody, Janessa, Jennifer:|This trio made us feel truly at home. They were friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Cody gave excellent restaurant recommendations — every one of them was spot-on. Any concerns or questions we had were handled with creativity and compassion.||Housekeeping – Devon, Hayley, and a Kind Young Lady (May 24):|Devon and Hayley responded to our requests with a smile and genuine willingness to help. Another young lady helped us on May 24 — although we didn’t catch her name, we want to thank her for her kindness as well.||Lobby Staff – Domingo:|Every morning, Domingo greeted me warmly as I had my coffee, always asking how our trip was going and how my family was doing. His kindness meant a lot. He also kept the lobby spotless — a true professional with a big heart.||Engineering – Jaret:|Jaret, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your responsiveness, compassion, and dedication made a real difference in my mother's comfort. You treated our needs with urgency and genuine care — we were truly humbled.||Breakfast:|We didn’t interact much with the breakfast staff, but the food was always good, fresh, and well-stocked. A great way to start the day!||Location:|Perfect! Tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to all the Bar Harbor attractions — including ocean views! For anyone needing proximity to medical services, I highly recommend Mount Desert Island Hospital (MDI) nearby.||||To the Hampton Inn Bar Harbor Team — keep doing what you do!|We will absolutely recommend this hotel to family and friends, and we look forward to staying here again. Thank you for making our trip so smooth, safe, and special.||- The...
Read moreA wonderful stay here at the Bar Harbor Hampton Inn.||Though this hotel was more expensive ($500/night vs. $280/night) compared to the other (smaller but highly-rated) motels, we decided to splurge to stay here as we are familiar and have always been happy with our Hampton Inn stays. This location did not disappoint!||I was able to check-in via the mobile app and select a room.||The hotel space was very well-maintained. The room was also great with a large king bed a sofa-bed as we requested. The bathroom and water pressure were great. There were lots of outlets throughout the room as well as an iron, ironing board, alarm clock and refrigerator. The refrigerator was larger than most and had a separate freezer section. There was NO microwave in the room…which was a bit disappointing…especially when you are traveling with kids and frequently need to heat leftovers and other items. Instead, there are two microwaves available for guest use in the lobby.||The TV was on the smaller side for a room of that size, but had a lot of channels. ||The free breakfast they offered was great…better than expected with a few hot options including omelets, sausages and home fries. They also have some other great options including yogurt, granola, fruit, cereal, waffle maker with lots of toppings and good variety of bagels, breads and pastries. There also had some cold juices and milk available for breakfast. There is coffee, tea and hot chocolate available for free all day in the lobby!||The fitness center was bigger than expected. I used it twice and it was empty both times.||Though we did not use the pools, all of them (indoor, outdoor and hot tub) all seemed well-maintained. Other guests seemed to be enjoying themselves while using them.||There was a small “business” area with some work/counter surfaces, chairs and outlets. ||There was also a small play area with a table stocked with crayons and coloring pages, books, a small tent and a TV with cartoons on at all times! A great little area for the little ones to unwind for a few or just wait while the grown-ups check-in/out.||There are a few shuttles available from the hotel that go into Acadia…but we drove and did not need that service. Although it isn’t a bad idea…even for those with cars as parking at the popular areas during our early-afternoon ventures into Acadia were very challenging during our visit toward the end of August.||Short drive to Acadia (5-10 minutes) entrances.
