Our stay at the Hampton Inn Bar Harbor was nothing short of amazing. Traveling with my mother, who has MS, means we have specific needs to ensure a comfortable and stress-free trip. This hotel went above and beyond to meet every one of them — from accessibility to outstanding service — making our visit truly special.||Cleanliness & Comfort:|The cleanliness of the hotel was among the best I’ve ever seen. Every area, from the guest rooms to the common spaces, was spotless. The overall atmosphere was calming, comfortable, and welcoming — exactly what we needed.||Outstanding Customer Service – Our Shout Outs:|We want to personally thank the incredible team who made our stay so memorable:||Manager on Duty – Aidan:|Aidan set the tone from the very beginning. He was responsive and kind during our initial calls, ensuring that some items we shipped ahead arrived safely. He greeted us warmly upon arrival and checked in with us throughout our stay. His leadership and attentiveness did not go unnoticed.||Front Desk Team – Cody, Janessa, Jennifer:|This trio made us feel truly at home. They were friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Cody gave excellent restaurant recommendations — every one of them was spot-on. Any concerns or questions we had were handled with creativity and compassion.||Housekeeping – Devon, Hayley, and a Kind Young Lady (May 24):|Devon and Hayley responded to our requests with a smile and genuine willingness to help. Another young lady helped us on May 24 — although we didn’t catch her name, we want to thank her for her kindness as well.||Lobby Staff – Domingo:|Every morning, Domingo greeted me warmly as I had my coffee, always asking how our trip was going and how my family was doing. His kindness meant a lot. He also kept the lobby spotless — a true professional with a big heart.||Engineering – Jaret:|Jaret, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your responsiveness, compassion, and dedication made a real difference in my mother's comfort. You treated our needs with urgency and genuine care — we were truly humbled.||Breakfast:|We didn’t interact much with the breakfast staff, but the food was always good, fresh, and well-stocked. A great way to start the day!||Location:|Perfect! Tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to all the Bar Harbor attractions — including ocean views! For anyone needing proximity to medical services, I highly recommend Mount Desert Island Hospital (MDI) nearby.||||To the Hampton Inn Bar Harbor Team — keep doing what you do!|We will absolutely recommend this hotel to family and friends, and we look forward to staying here again. Thank you for making our trip so smooth, safe, and special.||- The...

A wonderful stay here at the Bar Harbor Hampton Inn.||Though this hotel was more expensive ($500/night vs. $280/night) compared to the other (smaller but highly-rated) motels, we decided to splurge to stay here as we are familiar and have always been happy with our Hampton Inn stays. This location did not disappoint!||I was able to check-in via the mobile app and select a room.||The hotel space was very well-maintained. The room was also great with a large king bed a sofa-bed as we requested. The bathroom and water pressure were great. There were lots of outlets throughout the room as well as an iron, ironing board, alarm clock and refrigerator. The refrigerator was larger than most and had a separate freezer section. There was NO microwave in the room…which was a bit disappointing…especially when you are traveling with kids and frequently need to heat leftovers and other items. Instead, there are two microwaves available for guest use in the lobby.||The TV was on the smaller side for a room of that size, but had a lot of channels. ||The free breakfast they offered was great…better than expected with a few hot options including omelets, sausages and home fries. They also have some other great options including yogurt, granola, fruit, cereal, waffle maker with lots of toppings and good variety of bagels, breads and pastries. There also had some cold juices and milk available for breakfast. There is coffee, tea and hot chocolate available for free all day in the lobby!||The fitness center was bigger than expected. I used it twice and it was empty both times.||Though we did not use the pools, all of them (indoor, outdoor and hot tub) all seemed well-maintained. Other guests seemed to be enjoying themselves while using them.||There was a small “business” area with some work/counter surfaces, chairs and outlets. ||There was also a small play area with a table stocked with crayons and coloring pages, books, a small tent and a TV with cartoons on at all times! A great little area for the little ones to unwind for a few or just wait while the grown-ups check-in/out.||There are a few shuttles available from the hotel that go into Acadia…but we drove and did not need that service. Although it isn’t a bad idea…even for those with cars as parking at the popular areas during our early-afternoon ventures into Acadia were very challenging during our visit toward the end of August.||Short drive to Acadia (5-10 minutes) entrances. Also, a shorter drive into downtown Bar Harbor (2-3 minutes) or a 10-15-minute walk if desired. ||Large and free parking lot.||All staff we encountered were very nice, helpful...

A wonderful hotel, very clean and extremely friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable and big shampoo , conditioner and lotion are available. Complementary Coffee and snacks available 24/7. Breakfast has few options more compare to the other hotels. I gave 4 star to the location cause it does not have view to the sea. Updating review: Unfortunately, I have to update my review and give it one star due to an incident during our stay. On our last two days, we contracted COVID-19, and we decided it was better to leave the hotel to avoid spreading the virus. We showed our COVID test results and asked if we could receive a credit for our last night to use at another time, but the answer was no. They did not care at all whether we stayed or left, which in my opinion, was very wrong. My sisters and mom, who were staying in the hotel next door, also had COVID as we were all together for a wedding, and they were refunded. I am going to file a complaint to Hilton and see if I can get a refund for the night that we did not use the room, this was a pricey room / hotel $640 Canadian so I can not simply let it go to waste for doing the right thing.

Beautiful location in picturesque Bar Harbor Maine. The rooms were extremely clean and the entire staff were wonderful. The beds were supremely comfortable and the continental breakfast was first rate. They do need a small restaurant here and a lot more sound insulation between the walls. But I slept like a baby on that comfortable soft King sized bed. Three wonderful days here to visit Acadia park and view the summit of Caddilac mountain. Everyone there is friendly. So God willing, we're going back next year. Portland Maine Hamilton wasn't quite as nice. Definitely eat at the restaurants of Bar Harbor. Huge lobsters and check out "Chow Maine". See the altlantic ocean and many lakes. It's gorgeous there. Hamilton Inn staff made our visit all the more pleasant. Thanks for a great time, Bar Harbor Hampton Inn staff! You were all most excellent. And definitely eat at Applebee's in Portland, Maine. Great food, reasonably priced, excellent service as well. Have a lovely holiday season all
