PITA COAST — Restaurant in Bar Harbor

Pita Coast is a little food truck situated on the College of the Atlantic campus near the IT center. They offer tasty Shawarma and falafel wraps, hummus bowls and a delicious hibiscus drink. For those with a sweet tooth, can also get soft pressed ice cream with fruits, very delicious especially in the heat of the summer. I really enjoy the shawarma and falafel. The falafel is crunchy and soft on the inside very satisfying and the chicken is always juicy. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, but I think it’s worth the wait, especially if you are trying to get some Middle Eastern food...

Did you know that Bar Harbor doesn't allow food trucks? But when the truck doesn't move, and is hardwired into utilities, it's technically not a truck...despite actually being a business inside of a truck. Brilliant! And long overdue. Amazingly delicious and plentiful food made and served by two super friendly COA-ers with infectious smiles. Thank you for having a gluten free wrap! Eating here we felt like part of a community. Easy parking for all abilities, and nice outdoor seating options. Can't wait to make this a regular...

The flavors took me straight back home! The chicken shawarma was the perfect combination of deliciousness and the falafel wraps were fantastic!! We were greeted by such friendly people cheffing it up in the blue truck just tucked on the side of the Whale Skull on College of the Atlantic campus— Plus, you can even get there with the island explorer, walk down the main entrance road till you see the truck down the red pathway with an Elk statue!
