Acadia Cottage Rentals Inc. — Local services in Bar Harbor

Absolutely fantastic experience at Myrtle Ave. #1. Our stay was during the first week of October (it was our honeymoon), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Rates were reasonable, we stayed right in downtown Bar Harbor, and had a wonderful week in the park.

However, what truly set it apart was the fantastic service we got. We lost our key in Acadia one day, called the owners, and they had the door to our cottage unlocked and a replacement key sitting on the table before we even got back.

Then, mid-week, we had the smoke alarms go off. We couldn't shut them off, and ended up needing to call the fire department to have them removed. Turns out one was defective, and ACR had an electrician out the next day to replace it, and the owner of the cottage left us a card with $50 to go have a nice meal.

Overall a great experience with great customer service. I'll be booking through ACR again if we manage to make it back to...

This service should come with a warning label: DANGER. They are in full knowledge of dangerous rentals putting renters at risk of significant health issues and are do nothing about it. We were rented a place where the owner had prior knowledge of raw sewerage mixing with the drinking water - which we were directly impacted by suffering property loss and multi-day disruption to a weeks holiday. They then “upgraded” to a place that had its own issues with black mold and some other things that we documented and tried to reasonably deal with assuming the best in people. The subsequent responses made it clear they are to be avoided and reported to state...

It was a great experience! My husband and I were there with our 8 month old and the cottages are small so it was cozy but they did everything right in the cottage - they didn't skimp on the important things like mattress, linens, cleaning. I also enjoyed being on the "quiet side" of acadia. The town was small but it had everything we needed and we could quickly get to hikes and over to the main part...
