Went in to return an unopened product. From the time I said I was there to return something, the young lady was kind of rude and acted like she didn't want to do her job. A young guy came over with the same attitude, and they whispered something to each other while I was looking at controllers behind me. Then I was told I missed my return by 4 days because their return policy is 14 days. He then began to belittle me for not knowing their out of the norm return policy. The same thing happened a couple months ago when i went to return hedphone that was gifted to my kid by one of their grandparents for Christmas and since i didn't have a receipt nor the grandparent have an account i was unable to return it for store credit or exchange for something else in the store. The manager got rude with me about not have the receipt for an item someone else bought as a christmas gift and grandparents not having a gamestop account. She than questioned if we received the item as a christmas gift because she has seen that product in 3 months, i explained that is was purchased in Texas because thats where the grandparent lives. She refused use the return/exchange. This place never has the same employees; what they have 30 people to work one day a month or they just can't keep employees most of time the employees are decent and willing to help you out and do their job. But this time these two young people act like they don't want to be there like they had something better to do on...
Read moreIt’s crazy that that back on the 21st I went in there to see about an Xbox One S AC power adapter, the young female employee showed me one that wasn’t even for it lol (even crazier that GameStop wanted it for 50 bucks)
I don’t know why GameStop hires these people that don’t even know what parts go with what. The young woman that was there along with the young guy need to have more knowledge or look into some more information about the products they sell. I took a picture of the AC power adapter, then headed to Amazon to find one for cheaper. Turns out most of all the ones I looked at on Amazon that looked like the one they were trying to show me weren’t compatible with my Xbox One S so that gave me the hint.. the one they showed me won’t fit. Later I finally find out I just need a power cable for it, not a AC power adapter (P.S) If you don’t know about a console part, just be honest with the customer and say “I’m not to sure, let me look it up for you” not go on a whim and show+sell the the...
Read moreThis is THE WORST company on the planet. They changed their warranty policy to only replace items with preowned items which means you get garbage that is already broken and in my experience they so not even bother to clean it so you get the previous owners crumbs with any warranty trade ins. I will never spend another cent with game stop, EVER. I would highly recomend you not to either. Save yourself the headache and go to game world or just get your gameing needs from amazon. This company is trash.
Edit** I just wanted to say that the staff has always been friendly and as helpful as they could possibly be given the terrible company...
