The 35 year old mattresses were worse than sleeping on the floor. I'm not exaggerating, I took a picture of the tag with a date from 1983. I almost always choose budget hotels over luxury and I'm usually comfortable even in the cheapest hotels. Unfortunately this one was so uncomfortable that even my kids who love to camp and sleep on the floor couldn't sleep through the night on these mattresses. They woke up several times to switch beds but all of them were the same. I didn't mind the TV from the 90's (although it made it really hard to watch the NBA All-Star game) or the parking lot view. The beds made me never want to come back. I will definitely stay somewhere else next time. Maybe it was just our room because I've seen great reviews for this property which is why I booked here. Unfortunately I was VERY dissatisfied.

This was a nice place to stay but not necessarily five stars worthy. We rented a condo for a long weekend during the summer and this is definitely a winter place since it's at the beech mountain ski resort area. The days were warm since there was no AC (this is normal for the mountains) but the nights were cool and comfortable with the windows open. The pool and spa are okay, nothing special. There were some loud residents and construction. Check in was a little confusing for us, and finding the trash bins took walking around a good bit too. Do NOT make your first trip up the road to this place when it's dark, that almost gave us a heart attack with the zigzag mountain road! Overall, a cozy and nice place but nothing outstanding.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we absolutely loved it both times! #SuperHubs and I went on a marriage retreat with one our sister churches and stayed here in one of the ski suites. For a small space that sleeps two, it was pleasantly modern and sleek. Room 4101 was comfy and cozy with a small electric fireplace, a tiny galley kitchen, and nice bathroom. We also attended some classes in the meeting room, which was provided for us and was very clean. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, but we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of it ☹️. There is a gorgeous view of the snow-covered slopes and wild deer come right up to the parking lot. It’s a great place to take family vacations and the courtesy of the staff is irrefutable

We had an absolutely appalling exp. with Unit #1205 at Pinnacle Inn Resort HOA (we booked through Beech Mountain Chalet Rentals). Our stay was Saturday January 11th, 2025. We called Saturday morning and was able to secure unit #1205 for a one night stay. I'll start from the beginning. Yes, it had snowed Friday and Saturday morning/afternoon. We arrived around supper to find the parking lot not plowed and people getting stuck. The parking lot of treacherous and we had to shovel out our own parking spot. The stairs outside that lead to the condo's were snow covered (not a dusting, but trampled down icy covered) - and we were on the second floor. I had a hip replacement in November and I certainly didn't feel safe/secure on that climb to the second floor. Once we got to the second floor - the door leading to the inside corridor wasn't able to close because of the snow. In front of our unit (number 1205) was the garbage of the previous clients - who couldn't be bothered to take their garbage out, and no one in the HOA/maintenance crew had come to take it away (not their job, but it isn't ours when it wasn't our garbage). The unit says that it comes with a fireplace (great), but there was no firewood (and we weren't told you needed to bring any). The carpets are worn and stained in this unit in multiple spots (brown what looks like coffee stains). There is a stain above the kitchen sink of water, or maybe in spots mold (it looked dark) that were concerning and could easily be fixed and repainted with motivation. The Kureig - wouldn't close smoothly, thankfully we brought our own pods but the grounds were feeding through to our cup below the first time we used it. The cupboards in the kitchen were scratched - and the unit felt old, dated and worn. Simply, for the price point - unmaintained. But it gets worse. This unit had zero hot water. By the time we realized that we had no hot water we had 1.5 hours to vacate the condo because of check out time. Our room was not clean either. In the microwave I found a sausage/egg breakfast sandwich wrapped in a paper towel that was left by someone before us. Who knows how long that sandwich was in there. My husband threw away the sandwich before I got a picture (we were both disgusted). We are usually "budget" travellers staying at hotels like Comfort Inn's, Day's Inn, Clarion Inn - etc. I do read reviews and I do look at pictures. The pictures on the website are of the nice condo's in the HOA where there is pride of ownership by those who bought into this HOA. I will admit, that is what lured us into staying was the pretty view, the nice furnishings and how kept up the units appeared. Sadly, there isn't quality control - and not all units are kept up to the same standard. Things like stained carpets, water stains (or whatever that is above the sink in the kitchen). Cleanliness like the microwave and basic paint (like the cupboards) should just be a given. The decor, hey whatever - everyone has different taste - but for the price we're renting at - I think more care and consideration and quality control should be built into the price. In hindsight, we could have stayed for $176 (everything included) - including breakfast in Boone (a bit of a drive) and had a 4 out of 5 experience... instead we paid $250 for a cold shower, a breakfast someone left in the microwave, etc. The mattress was relatively comfortable (not high end) but certainly passable. I think the "linen fee" of $100 seems a bit high for washing a few towels, and basic bedding.I would urge you to ask questions about your rental when booking. Things like - what floor is it on, what is the decor like, has it been updated and has it been thoroughly cleaned - are questions I would ask if I was to do this all over again. I guess it was and still is "buyer beware." I'm not a negative nelly (look at my other reviews), however, small items I could overlook - but when added onto stuff like no hot water (a big deal), and the cleanliness - I need to forewarn others - ask questions!!! No...

REFUSED? My husband and I were skiing and that is such a lie! You sent someone once who obviously told us that you only wash the bedspreads once a month. I just went and looked at the description again and nowhere does it say that it’s on the third floor. So I am supposed to call security (beech mountain police) at 7 PM when I discovered that there were no sheets for the brand new pull out sofa bed? *Just because your place says no smoking obviously people still smoked in our unit. Not only is that my problem, my problem was that your maid staff did not clean up after them. If you’re reading this review I would avoid this place at all cost! They obviously do not take responsibility for anything.

Unit 3312 As soon as we arrived, we were met with Beer bottles cigarettes and butts on the balcony as well as the screen door was off. Bird seed and popcorn were on the floor that was obviously not vacuumed Because we later found a cigarette butt inside on the carpet. We have a crawling baby so we’re rather ill to see this. Heater on the ground wasn’t mentioned as it’s hot to touch so we had to try to block it off. It was communicated that there would be six people staying in this unit however there were no clean sheets left for the pull out couch. The air mattress pump also did not work and wasn’t discovered until after 5 once the office is closed. There’s no one on call after hours so if you need anything like sheets, you’re screwed. It also wasn’t communicated that this unit was on the third floor. Ashes from previous renter’s were all over the floor and not swept or vacuumed up. There were Waded up blankets in closet that clearly weren’t clean. Tubs clearly weren’t cleaned and bath mats were dirty and not washed “Clean” Towels were left on dirty bedspreads. We won’t be going back. They need to hold their housekeeping staff accountable and if I were the owner of 3312, I would not be happy with how my unit was...

We booked unit 3232 last minute due to our original rental catching fire 2 days before our arrival. I now know why this place was one of the only rentals available in Beech Mountain so last minute. To start, the place was very outdated but we could’ve dealt with that if it had been clean. When our friends went to pull out the bed from the pull out couch it was absolutely FILTHY. Not to mention, we were also not provided with enough sheets for them even though we included that we had 4 people in our group before we arrived (thankfully we had extras from home in the car). Once I emailed the manager (?) about how dirty our unit was, I was informed that housekeeping would be sent up to clean. Great! I also asked for them to bring extra towels. Upon returning to our unit, the place was not cleaned at ALL. It actually wasn’t even touched as everything was exactly how we left it. All they did was bring extra towels??? I emailed once again to let them know that our place was still dirty and all they had to say to that was housekeeping had already left for the day, basically, just deal with it. They didn’t even offer to come back the next day so we had to sleep a SECOND night in a dirty place. The water is cloudy, thank God we brought water bottles with us. We didn’t even want to brush our teeth with their water! The bed is so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. During our second night we were woken up at midnight to a large group of drunk guys getting in a fight right outside our room. We had such an awful experience here we ended up leaving early and driving home through the night just so we wouldn’t have to sleep in this dirty place again. The worst part is, our original place was closer to the ski resort, MUCH newer and cleaner, bigger and was the same cost! Wish I could attach the pictures I took of how dirty the bed, sink and carpet were. Never again will...
