I never leave reviews online, but I had to make sure to give this restaurant the credit it deserves. They really exceeded our expectations, so this is going to be a long review.
First off, my family has been very cautious during COVID restrictions, but we were happy to see all guidelines being followed here. My son has special needs and has had a hard time handling the anxiety from the pandemic, so we originally intended on just getting takeout. We arrived and saw that all the employees were wearing masks, and there were markings to make sure people were social distancing in the restaurant. Just while we were waiting in line to order, we saw employees cleaning all the surfaces every time people came through. We all decided we should give it a try and eat there. Pretty much all the customers who weren't sitting at a table had masks on as there were signs encouraging them to follow the guidelines, but we saw one (maybe two) people come in without masks on. Even though I like seeing masks being enforced, it's also nice to see businesses that support it without harassing people who may not be able to wear them for health reasons. My son even played a game of air hockey and some other games in the arcade, which we were not expecting. It was so great to see him being away from home and having fun again! They serve a wide range of beers and ciders, so we really liked that feeling of sitting back and enjoying that time together as a family. Overall, we felt totally safe here and ended up coming back again for the 4th of July fireworks, and then again before we left yesterday.
Finally, and most importantly, we found someone who can cook a perfect pizza! The bottom was golden brown, there was the perfect amount of toppings, and the crust was just right. If you like chicken wings, they have a lot of flavors to choose from. We got the Carribean Jerk, and they were delicious! My wife said the Philly Cheese Steak was to die for! Plus, you can't forget about the dessert bar. They have ice cream, milkshakes, snow cones, handmade candies, and other pastries. We got a tiramisu, cannoli, and slice of cheesecake to go, and they were all delectable. If I lived in that area, I don't know how I would stay away because on top of everything else, they even had a full espresso bar. I can't imagine how packed this place must get when there are no social distancing restrictions. Hopefully, we will see during our next trip!
THANK YOU BRICK...
Read moreAll the reviews and....inside the restaurant the drawings on plates from customers from the last 20yrs would say this place is 5star, but our group was disappointed. We are big pizza fans and seek out the "best rated" pizza where ever we go. This pizza was like 6 maybe 7 out of 10, it was good, it wasn't astounding or anything near worthy of the $$$.
There is little direction when you walk in to live music which you will be standing directly infront of....well a guy playing a piano and singing, REALLY, REALLY loud.
The drink machine is in one place, the lids in another, straws and napkins in another.....It's mostly a serve yourself type place, so just go right up to the bar and order when you get there and find your own Seat.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The beer selection is on point! The puttputt leaves a lot to be desired especially at $13 for the tiny course in comparison to huge putt putt at Myrtle for $15 a person. BUT, there is NO other putt putt anywhere close, so.....they can charge what they want.
This is getting long I'm not trying to rant just give honest review so to sum it all up, the pizza is decent but overpriced, 2 large pizzas, a supreme and pepperoni, softdrinks for 3 kids and 4 adults was a little over $100, plus tip, not counting beer. People are nice, atmosphere would be great if music wasn't so loud, mainly the guy singing, did a lot of random hooping and hollering lol worse than my 6yr old! My son loved the overhead train, and ninja turtles popping out of the ceiling. Overall, out of the available options in the area this place is okay, and some folks LOVE it, I mean they have some serious long term patrons.....they may come hang me for this review lol! To each their own! Deff worth trying if you don't mind spending a lot more than your used...
Read moreThese guys are the best in the business, imho. Every, and I mean EVERY time we come remotely close to this place, it is a MUST STOP... Not only is their food (generous portions) amazingly tasty, but the service is just as amazing. Family owned and operated, you'll have the pleasure of dealing with some of the Carolinas friendliest family once you enter their doors. We stumbled upon this pizza place (Google search) one hungry night after finally checking in to our hotel. Driving just a fast (and safely) as we could because they were about to close for the night, we arrived just in time for them to be closed, for dining in, the very friendly young man at the counter informed us. We were informed that dining in was not an option as they had already shut down all equipment EXCEPT their oven was still hot (so only pizza was on the menu, for take out...) and the normal menu was not available. We did the only thing we could do, which was to take 2 pies to go (back to our hotel) which put a smile on my family's face. And being their last customers of the day, the young man offered to us 3 enormous (8 to 10 inch) cookies for free (this doesn't happen in Miami, Florida), needless to say we accepted their generosity and 3 cookies were packed and taken to go. Pizza is one of the best I've tried (been to Italy and I know what real Italian food tastes like) in any place I've ever been, which are many. Also, their beer cooler is one entire wall of the restaurant, and then some 👍 In conclusion,: if you're ever in their neighborhood, do yourself (and your appetite, a favor and visit these folks, you will not be disappointed...!!! #Happy Eats...
