I recently stayed at this Residence Inn while visiting the Seattle area with my mom in July 2024. Our criteria picking a hotel was a room with at least one separate bedroom so we both had our own space, a full kitchen since we like to make our own meals, somewhat affordable, and in the Bellevue / Eastside area. We chose this hotel and we were both INCREDIBLY happy with our stay here. We definitely hope to stay here again on our next trip. ||Below are a few highlights of why we enjoyed our stay that may be helpful to other travelers:|* 2-Bedroom Suite: We had the two-bedroom “loft” suite. (Please see attached pictures). The room was two floors… the first floor has a kitchen, living room and a bedroom with an attached (private) bathroom. Upstairs is the second “bedroom”, which is a loft that is open to the living room below, but still very private. That bedroom also has a large vanity area and bathroom. This layout was PERFECT for our needs—we both had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. I would highly recommend this room for families with children, friends travelling together, or multi-generational families travelling together.|* Price: We booked this room several months in advance using a AAA discount rate and we ended up paying less than $300/night for our room! For a two-bedroom suite (which are not easy to find in most hotels) that’s an incredible value. The Residence Inn in South Bellevue was asking over $600/night for a two-bedroom suite those same dates! |* Cleanliness: Despite the hotel being an older property, our room was EXTREMELY clean and well-kept. The furniture and linens were in excellent condition and when we first got into the room it smelled nice and fresh. The housekeeper even left a welcome note, which was a nice touch! The bathroom was very clean and every room had been thoroughly vacuumed and the surfaces sanitized. I stay at dozens of hotels a year for work and most properties only clean the most high-trafficked parts of a room. I was very impressed by the Residence Inn Bellevue’s attention to detail in cleaning the rooms. |* Outdoor Access: I know some reviewers complained about the hotel rooms being open to outside (no interior hallways), more like an apartment complex. However, we actually really liked the layout. The rooms are in a series of buildings connected by walkways and stairs. We LOVE the Pacific Northwest and its trees and plants, so visiting in summer we really enjoyed walking right out our room and seeing big trees, gardens and flowers. The property was very well taken care of. The layout of the property also makes the rooms more private and (in our experience) quiet. You don’t have to worry about loud people running through the hallways late at night waking you up like in many hotels. I saw some other reviewers mention noise but we never had issues with noise in our room.|* Convenient Location: The hotel is in the “BellRed” (Bellevue/Redmond) area of northeast Bellevue right near the border with Redmond. Its walking distance to the new LINK light rail station and about a 2-minute drive to a Fred Meyer and several large shopping centers with plenty of food and grocery options. The hotel is also easily accessible from the 520 highway, and it was very convenient going to and from the hotel during our stay.||Hope this helps others make a decision to stay here! I don’t often leave reviews but my mom and I were very happy with our stay and I look forward to staying there on our next family trip to the Seattle area. ||Note: I was not asked or compensated to write this review and all opinions...

Read moreYikes, where to begin. I’m still shocked they consider this a Residence Inn property. I travel for work and almost exclusively stay at RI, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. In summary:
Previous guest’s underwear with soiled menstruation pad attached was found under bed, along with used a tube of lipstick and loose candy. When brought to manager’s attention, barely apologetic and no offer for monetary compensation or points credit. Someone had to come with gloves to remove since it was a bio issue. Kitchen poorly stocked, no trash bags or dishwasher pods Dirty dishes in dishwasher Crumbs in kitchen drawers and many in oven (causing a burning smell that permeated the room when used) Conditioner was nearly empty—ran out after just a couple uses Cigarette butts on patio (and all throughout grounds) Lots of trash throughout grounds in general Large ball of black hair found on carpet Housekeeping entered the room while we were out, ignoring our request left on the door that we were “all set” Toilet made a high-pitched screeching noise until handle was shaken Booked a King Studio (and confirmed at check in) but received Queen Studio Could never get through to hotel desk via room phone, always had to walk to lobby to ask for things The coat closet smelled horrendous so had to keep shut No extra toilet paper, had to ask The sofa pullout did not have a complete set of sheets, had to ask Had to ask for extra towels twice because housekeeping took them away when they entered our room (ignoring our sign) and they didn’t leave the same amount they took No pool towels (why we asked for more) Pool was frequently closed for cleaning during peak hot times of day Landscaper blew leaves and dirt all over our patio with leaf blower The property is very outdated and in need of lots of cleaning and repair Just want to note there’s an option when booking directly through Marriott website to add special instructions (extra pillow, extra towel, sofa bed sheets). I did this and not one item was prepped. Pointless feature! Wi-Fi was terrible, TV barely functioned (pixelated and picture couldn’t match sound) They emailed four folios—one was blank and three were only for parking, so I had to walk to the lobby at checkout to get the actual folio for the stay
When I asked to speak with a manager about these concerns, no one was on site. The staff advised me to come back in the morning at a specific time, which I did. When I arrived the next morning, the staff said the manager wouldn’t be on site that day.
I’ve now called corporate two weeks in a row and both times they’ve told me to wait 3-5 business days while they escalate with the hotel manager and that someone will contact me. I haven’t heard anything from anyone about these issues and we checked out 14 days ago.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. And to think this stay was worth...
