Holland House — Hotel in Berlin

We had such an amazing stay at the Holland House recently. Hattie went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. All our requests were accommodated and we enjoyed getting to relax at this spot.

The Holland House is a perfect location with great walkability to nearby stores and restaurants. It was so convenient to park at the b&b and walk to local attractions (there were so many activities going on within a short walking distance over the weekend).

The parking was great - plenty of spaces in front of the house to accommodate all guests. The breakfast was lovely each morning and enjoyed by all - Hattie’s muffins rival any bakery around. Our room was especially comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. There are many room options to accommodate the needs of any family. Everything we needed was made available.

It was so refreshing to get away from busy Ocean City. We were able to park close to the beach and shuttle in to still enjoy OC festivities from this location in Berlin.

We are already looking forward to visiting the Holland House for more relaxation and family vacations! Thank you Hattie and family for making our stay so enjoyable...

This B&B is located about 8 miles from Ocean City, Md. It is a wonderful place to stay and still have access to the beaches, and Assastaegue, where you can view wild horses right out of your car windows. Although you could walk the downtown area in just a few minutes, there are about 50 shops and restaurants, including one of the most delicious ice-cream parlors I ever eaten ice-cream from. There are restaurants with great food, and live music.

It's operated by a really wonderful couple. The husband worked in the food & and beverage industry, and was the head chef of a major hotel located on Ocean City Beach. The breakfasts are fantastic. The wife can hold a great discussion, on just about any subject, and knows just about everything on the area, and things to do during your stay. Children are no longer allowed, and the six rooms are for singles or couples only.

Staying at the Holland House has the added benefit of providing walking access to this most delightful small town, Berlin, in the area. This is where The Runaway...

Definitely would recommend this place. It was in the heart of historic downtown Berlin, so we could walk to everything there -- restaurants, shops, and the peach festival. It was a pretty quick drive to Assateague National Seashore, the main attraction in the area. We got a suite, which gave us a fairly small bedroom with a very comfy king-sized bed and chair, and a small adjacent room with a comfortable day bed. Our hostess, Hattie, couldn't have been nicer. Glad to give advice on restaurants and best places for groceries, and interesting to chat with. The advertised continental breakfast is more than advertised -- included eggs, muffins with sausage, yogurt, baked fruits, as well as the usual pastries included in continental breakfasts.
