Island Creamery in Berlin, Maryland, is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for handcrafted ice cream. Known for its rich and creamy textures, this local favorite offers a wide variety of unique and classic flavors, but the standout choice has to be their German Chocolate Cake ice cream. This indulgent flavor perfectly captures the essence of the beloved dessert, with swirls of chocolate, coconut, and caramel blended into a luscious base. Every bite is packed with decadent, cake-inspired goodness that feels both nostalgic and luxurious. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a great spot to enjoy your treat, whether you’re with family, friends, or on a solo dessert mission. Pair your scoop with one of their homemade waffle cones for an extra layer of flavor and crunch. The staff is always friendly and ready to help you choose from their tempting lineup of flavors, ensuring a delightful experience from start to finish. If you’re in Berlin, don’t miss the chance to stop by Island Creamery for some of the best ice cream around, with the German Chocolate Cake flavor being an absolute must-try!

It's a very small establishment. You walk in, and there's enough room for you to walk down to the cash register with all the ice cream on your left. Then you go out the door and there's an alleyway that's cute for you to sit in. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Between 3 of us we tried 5 flavors and every was eas amazing!! I wanted to post pics of the ice cream but we gobbled it up so fast because it was amazing. The texture and the flavors were amazing. Can't wait to go back! There's a parking lot across the street that is free, but it gets filled pretty quickly.

I'm no ice cream aficionado but even I know superior home made ice cream when I taste it. This gem is a must if you are in the area. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff can rattle off what's in each ice cream, and will give you samples. VERY generous portions. The place smells like fresh made waffle cones and yummyness. I spotted ice cream cakes near the cash register. There's a cute alley at the exit with Edison lights and colorful or shaded seating. Loved it.

If you are on a diet, leave immediately! Don't even look at the daily flavors listed on the door: just keep on walking. However, if you don't care about edging out that waist band, have at those delicious daily created concoctions. We had the dogs in the car so I sent my wife in alone. She came back with a single sculpted mountain of diary delight and was grinning from ear to ear. She opted for the Mounds bar scoop with chunks of chocolate, almonds and coconut threaded throughout. Well, darn, now I have to get one because one look told me she was NOT going to share. I entered the quaint shop, standing room only right now, and was ushered through the line to where my choice lay, the mint chocolate chip. Gently accented with mint, it wasn't the Crest minty blast I was expecting, but it was just perfect. All the young staff are eager to explain each of the flavors and patience never seems to wane. Thanks a lot COVID for killing our opportunity for tasting! Daily inventions are ever changing with seasonal specialties that will keep you...

This is by far "thee" best creamery I've ever been to in my entire life! Do yourself a favor and make the trip here. Their flavors are so good that you'll want seconds as soon as you finish your first scoop. You will have plenty to choose from when you visit. When you do visit, you'll get to meet happy and oh so friendly staff that you get the pleasure of being served by. It's vest to go at a slow time so you can sample multiple flavors and really hone in your choice. It's a difficult thing. My favorites are the key lime pie and cantaloupe! Yes, cantaloupe is a flavor, and I was instantly saddened when I realized I'd eaten it all because it just tasted so good! If I lived anywhere near here, I'd be flat broke and 600 lbs because I'd have no self-control to stop eating. I'm not the only one who feels this way because they've been voted #1 creamery in the nation, apparently, and it's easy to see why after one visit. So theft time you're ever near Ocean City Maryland, take a short drive to this little place of...
