My wife and I are from out of state. We were visiting town and I’ve been looking to have a non-gold wedding band made due to a nickel allergy. I was drawn to the shop by the old clocks, but then asked (as I have in many jewelry shops), if they had any alternatives to a gold band and Doug (the proprietor), started by showing me a tungsten band, then said, “well I could make you something.”
At this point I’m expecting a cost of 2-3 hundred dollars which is what I’ve come to expect, but he says “oh, I could do it for $60.” My jaw dropped, how could I say no to that. He had it ready the next day and all we had to do was explore the lovely town of Berlin.
It’s a very masculine ring and it fits my personality perfectly. Thanks Doug. You have my deepest respect for your craft.
