We typically visit this toy store monthly but will never again spend another dime here. During a Christmas celebration yesterday, the store was packed. While multiple young children were picking out their toys one fell to the ground where a plastic top cracked. A woman rudely approached us and shared she was the store owner then blamed my 5 year old for dropping this plastic container and asked me if I was paying for it. I was so taken back by her unprofessional and rude approach. I was confused why she was yelling at a child in a toy store where majority of the toys are on display to try. I paid for it even though I am still unsure if my child broke it. Not only did she lose a $100 sale, she lost a lifetime local customer and I was happy to see many others watched what happened and put their purchases down and walked out. It’s a shame the original owners are no longer there. I hope this rude woman goes back to the country she came from because she doesn’t deserve to be apart of an...
Read moreThe co-owner Olga recently helped me over the phone and she was so helpful!
I was in search of gifts for a 3 month old boy (cousin's baby) and also my nephew who is almost 6 months old.
Olga recommended excellent options including the Melissa & Doug brand which I love, and she took the time to send me photos of some other options she had in stock.
There is an online catalog but she has a lot of merchandise in store.
I was able to pay over the phone and she or her husband are actually dropping the gifts off as they are local to the recipients and I live close to Baltimore in Howard County.
This is saving me shipping cost and the customer service is so amazing and what you'd expect and hope for in a small business.
I look forward to visiting in person hopefully in the spring.
They also offer private shopping appointments for those not comfortable shopping with others.
Olga worked with my price range and had great suggestions.
What a wonderful...
Read morePoor customer service. Went the other day and the lady refused to permit my 2 yr old who is potty training to use the rest room. What kind of toy store doesn't have a bathroom for children especially when parents are out Christmas shopping with littles in tow?!?!?! The lady proceeded to tell me the nearest restroom we could use was at the police station. Mind you I had a 5 month old in a carrier car seat and a 2 yr old with me. Seriously rediculous. Saw things we would have purchased even had a coupon I'll take my business elsewhere. I do NOT recommend this store if you are shopping with children.
Response to owner: Where do your employees go to the rest room? Given that my toddler was in underware I could have stayed and shopped permitting him to pull his pants down and pee in your store. I have spare clothing in the car so no big deal to me. Yes poor...
