One of my best meals, ever! I ordered baked cod, which was served with a brown sauce with mushrooms and topped with lump crab meat. It also had mushroom ravioli and fresh asparagus (steamed?). I forget the beer I ordered, but it was an ale from Burley Oak and had a piney/citrusy taste, which was good. However, a meal this good and rich seemed to deserve a wine pairing. Our waiter, Lucas, was very nice and cheerful. The sun porch was warmed by a heater on this early April evening, and we got to watch the golden hour light slowly fade in the charming town of Berlin. A wonderful experience. Meals are a little pricey, and my beer was $7, but this is quite expected in the Ocean City are and this was definitely a good value in comparison with chain restaurants, whereas at the Atlantic, you get a unique dining experience. This building is featured in Runaway Bride and Tuck Everlasting. There is a very old and beautiful Cedar of Lebanon next door.

First visit to Berlin, America’s coolest town, for shopping and sightseeing. Decided to have lunch at the Atlantic Hotel Drummers Café inside as it was a hot day. There is an enclosed screened porch. Took 20 minutes before we signaled someone to come over to serve. Pretty bad given that they seemed to be fully staffed and lots of folks running around. Mason C did come over and did apologize. We had a crab cake sandwich and chicken salad platter. Decent but very average food. Great ambiance at this Historic location but service and food lacking.

We celebrated our grandmothers 93rd birthday at the Atlantic Hotel. We had happy hour (food/drinks) for 10 people. It was absolutely perfect! We started out in the beautiful garden, but eventually moved into the private dining room inside. Staff was very accommodating, wonderful food, and great drinks!!! The bartender, May, was a pleasure and we enjoyed chatting with the chef as well! May was super busy tending bar, but always found time to make us feel right at home. Highly recommend the Atlantic Hotel for any special occasion!

The Atlantic Hotel was always a great memory for my wife and I. Back in the early 2000s we had many magnificent meals in the elegant dining room. Sadly, that has all come to a depressing end. Aside from the friendly and solid bartender the Drummer's Cafe has become just another overpriced and terrible restaurant. The service was horrendous. Clearing your appetizer plates before bringing the main course is pretty standard and when we commented on this we were treated to a bad attitude from the server. Really? To be fair, the mussels appetizer we ordered was delicious and left us optimistic about the mains. That ended quickly. My dish was an overcooked and over spiced pork chop on top of a massive portion of tasteless fried gnocchi. My wife was served lackluster cod smothered with gobs of mustard atop pounds of under cooked green beans. The food wasn't just bad and expensive, it was horrendous. It is over for the Atlantic Hotel, it can't even compete with some of the newcomers to Berlin's dining scene like Fin's down the street, which is far better. When we told our server about our disappointment, she just nodded in approval and couldn't care less. It is the end of an era, another good restaurant...

I ate here for NYE for the first time and was very disappointed. My bf and I ordered the lobster bisque , cesar salad , and the rockfish. We were served the cesar salad and lobster bisque . Cesar was good but the soup was cold. I let the server know and she apologized and took the soup back to the kitchen . Within minutes of being served the salad and soup our entree is brought to our table . This is also lukewarm . It is also obvious that the entrees are not made to order . It seems that the restaurant was busy and its goal was to get customers in and out as quickly as possible. At 40 dollars an entree I expected at least that entrees were made to order . The server did apologize for the entree and mentioned that there should had been a ten min waiting period for the entree to be served after the soup and salad. She actually suggested that she could put our entree in the warmer for us. Which is ridiculous. Why not suggest a whole new plate? To say the least we were very disappointed . After dinner we went to the Ale House , a restaurant down the street and were actually served hot food that was delicious and at a lower price . Just to add , the Ale House was...

The ambiance can't make up for the generally poor service and not great food. Every time I come here, I hope that things will have improved, but it consistently disappoints. For starters, the hostess staff is slow and clueless and will leave you hanging while they try to wake up enough to do their job; I don't understand why they put a clueless teenager in this position when they have such an impact on first impressions. The wait staff isn't all that bad, but then the menu is lacking--not your server's fault, but I have to wonder if there has been turnover in the kitchen again. My Juevos Bruncheros was cold and pretty tasteless, with a side of hash browns that had some yucky sauce on them. My first cup of coffee was OK but the refills looked like dirty dishwater instead of coffee. My friend wanted a plain burger and ended up with a meat patty on bread, looked rather unappealing. I would love to see this venue up their game and serve better food. In the meantime, I would suggest somewhere else, maybe the new 410 Social...
