Ok so this is an honest review by someone who only came here was to avoid hurricane milton in FL. This place had great reviews when I booked but I had limited choices due to waiting last minute. The rooms...I had a king suite room on the 5th floor outlooking a partial ocean view. Really was a nice view as there were 4 giant windows to look out. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. All of them. There's an expensive restaurant downstairs which I didnt visit due to the cost ($50 to $100 per person. There Hard Rock casino is across the street and was where I had my best luck (small jackpot). Beau Rivage is a couple blocks away from Hard Rock but still very close if walking. A few other casinos are a bit farther away and I chose not to visit those ( good bit of drinking, didnt want to drive). Although I heard something about casino trollies but never saw anything. Now my main complaint wasn't the hotels fault but the location. Yes it's by the water but there was one problem. There was a car show that was going on during my stay. Apparently it lasts an entire week and consists of classic cars, muscle cars, and some serious bad ass builds. The cars were cool however there are hundreds of people who sit on the "strip" and encourage these drivers to CONSTANTLY rev their engines and peel out at the lights and down the street. Again, this was probably awesome for the people who came here for this yearly event. The hotel is located directly on this road and was a constant nuisance any time I'm in my room and not at the casinos. It's so freaking loud I had to wear earplugs and even that wasn't working. It starts at 9am and lasts till after midnight. That was my fault for not doing enough research I guess. The room was nice (deluxe king suite) and has old Hollywood decor, a granite countertop with a nice sink, a chair and a leather couch (very uncomfortable). The bed was nice and was comfortable but I prefer memory foam. The room had its own air-conditioner and thermostat which kept the room very cool. This place was very expensive (Friday night was $400+) but that may have been because of the parade/car show. The employees were all very nice and accommodating. No room service. Flat screen tv (50 inch or so). Bathroom was nice with a large shower but weak shower head. As with every hotel ever, the people above me were incredibly loud and walk on their heels all night. Walls are thin as well and could hear someone's tv quote easily. Overall it was nice but the noise was much too much to deal with for me. I'm not sure if I would return to stay here again. Casinos were...
Read moreThe decor, both in the commons areas and the rooms is high quality, and visually pleasing...no signs of aging that I determined....very pleasing. The bed was really comfy. We ate at the only restaurant in the hotel and were pleased. The ONLY other area to purchase ANY food/beverage was a small area beside the check in and the ONLY offerings were bottled drinks, candy, and small bags of chips. There were no available publications (newspapers, magazines, info about the hotel etc..) it was a bit impersonal...NOTHING in the rooms, not even a channel guide for the t.v. (which was not a smart t.v. so you could not sign in to your netflix etc.). The furniture in the sitting area, while very 'stylish' ..was very hard and uncomfortable with bolster throw pillows and nothing comfy. The kitchen area was a huge waste of space...very nice with lots of cabinetry BUT (others mentioned that there was no microwave) it was large and offered NOTHING to account for the size...nothing in the drawers (utensils, etc.) only a very small fridge and a sink...no real reason for the size and the cabinetry. The safe was inside one of the cabinets but it was so dark inside you had to use a flashlight to see the keypad. The shower was very nice and large but NO floor mat (tile was very slippery when wet ) and no grab bar. Lighting, while cool contemporary, was very poor...on the desk there was no form of lighting at all...no lamp nor any overhead...I had to move a tiny light from a sofa side table to use on the desk...bathroom mirror was illuminated but not brightly and there was no wall mounted makeup/magnifiying mirror as is standard in most nice hotels and would have made the lack of general bath lighting more acceptable. The pool looked nice and had moving fountain type water feature which was working the first night we stayed but only half the fountains worked for the remainder of our stay. Nice place with the concerns detailed above...perhaps a little more 'hands on oversight' ...the ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Walking distance of several restaurants and a...
Read moreMy wife, me and another couple booked rooms there back in November 2024 for February 28 - March 2 in order to attend a show at the Beau Rivage. My friend made the reservations but after a day or two noticed he had not received an email confirmation. he called them and they assured him that the reservations were in place and they would send a confirmation. They did no. He called a third time and got the same responses but never received an email confirmation. When we arrived on February 28 they said our reservations were for March 2-4. At first they said they could not accommodate us but finally managed to find us two rooms for that night but could not guarantee us that we could stay the second night. The next day they managed to find us a two bedroom suite which we took. After going to our show late that night and returning to the room I noticed our bathroom had a puddle of water on the floor. Upon checking, the hot water supply to the sink was dripping pretty fast. As I was standing there the valve literally blew off the wall and started spewing water everywhere. So, weekend, after midnight, one person on the front desk no maintenance people. I notified the front desk and the poor little lady came up but had no idea how to shut off the water. She called her manager who told her the shut off was in the ceiling above a metal trap door. She had no tools of course to open it. I loaned her my swiss army knife and we pried the door open but she couldn't turn the valve so I had to climb up on the sink and turn it off. During all this my dress loafers were ruined by the water. We were told by the front desk lady that our entire stay would be refunded and comped. They did refund the second night but not the first after all this nor have they offered to pay for my shoes. It is almost impossible to get a human on the phone and the two letters I sent have gone unanswered. Plus you can't find out who owns the hotel to write them directly. DO NOT...
