1st of all, I requested a beach view room, instead of telling me "they are booked" they said okay... we check in, and end up with a city view, on the 17th floor and have to walk what felt like a quarter mile from the elevator to our room. I call down to the front desk and they tell me now they are all booked up. Had I known this i would have booked with a DIFFERENT COMPANY. Also, while standing in line, we were pointed to go stand in a different line, when we finally got to the counter a 2nd time, we were told "for future reference, we needed to go to the line next to them." We stood in the wrong line waiting to check in 3 different times... 2nd of all, I'm military, in order to get any benefits in this place, you have to walk through the casino to get to the rewards counter to apply that military benefit.... I brought 4 children with me to enjoy the Christmas set up they have here, as well as the food. I could not take my children with me to the rewards counter... 3rd, the guy guarding the floor wouldn't even let me pass with my children, but I watched many children walk by, so I'm confused as to what exactly separates my children from the others. 4th, I decided to leave my children with my husband while they were eating to go apply my benefits.... since I walked down from the buffet, down to the casino floor area, a lady standing there guarding the floor decided to yell at me, because I was walking the same direction of everyone else, told me I needed to get in line to be carded, that she "randomly selected me because i came from the buffet". At this point I'm BEYOND over this place.. entirely too many people, and rude staff, inconvenience of my room, inconvenience of the location of the rewards desk. The ONLY positive experience I had was our waitress at the buffet. I absolutely could have purchased a room, some place else, with an ocean view. I absolutely could have gotten 2 rooms, with the view I wanted, for the price of this room for one night. I am beyond irritated and absolutely will never come here again. I honestly hope not a soul ever asks me my opinion on "best places to stay in Biloxi, because I won't have any recommendations, but I'll be sure to tell them about my expiernce today... also, tell me WHY priceline has the rooms listed for $126 a night, but I paid $271 through the hotel site. I was told that was with my "military discount" and a -$40 "inconvenience fee" for their website not being able to process my card so I could book in advance. So when I called and booked the room, they applied these discounts".... but it's not listed on my receipt... probably got lied to again... apparently that is all they do around here is act RUDE and lie. Please. Save yourself the frustration, funds, and time. Book anywhere else, and definitely dont think you are about to book a "family friendly"...
Read moreThe casino itself is beautiful, the hotel is phenomenal, the service and the people running it? Awful, incompetent, lazy, disorganized, they’re a typical casino who cares about making money and not the little things, such as taking the time to give someone back their lost phone.
I came here with my best friend and she lost her phone early that afternoon.
We called and checked lost and found for hours, and even went and checked her iPad, just to see that it was still at the casino.
It came down to us going to get her iPad, tracking the phone to the exact location where it was, and it was in the lost and found. At this point, we had tracked the phone for an hour, called security and front desk for 3 and an half hours, and shown back up at the casino to try to find the phone. I had to put my ear up to the wall in the lost and found and call my friend’s phone (at that point, we pinged it with the iPad and it started going off) just to find that it was indeed within their possession. This was after they had supposedly checked over the past (now 4) hours and didn’t have the phone.
They then gave us the run around to get the phone back, after we sat and had to forcibly tell them that they DID indeed have the missing phone in their possession. (This was RIGHT AFTER they had told us they did NOT have the phone).
They’d had the phone since 3:40, according to the paperwork with the phone. We didn’t get the phone back until 8:30 that night, after we had to come and play private investigator just to discover that NOBODY, not a SINGLE PERSON, bothered to check the phones.
While we were looking for her phone, we overheard another gentleman who was frustrated because he had not had his phone turned in either. I can only imagine when and if they’ll ever give him back his phone…we had to fight them just to get hers back.
This was a HORRIBLE experience at what’s supposed to be a luxury casino, when I could drive to a casino in Louisiana and probably get a similar experience if not better. If you’re going to spend this kind of money and stay at a casino, I would stay at the Golden Nugget. I’ve never gone there and had anything less than a pleasant experience, and the staff ALWAYS handled their issues (as a guest and as a casino goer). We will never step foot in this casino ever again, as their service is not worth...
Read moreLet’s start off by saying I would rather stay in an Airbnb, or at least the Hard Rock next door.
We were coming for my bachelor trip. I arrived earlier than the group as I was flying from a different city. We were super excited to stay at the Beau Rivage as we had heard great things!
With that being said, first off… the bellmen. Since I had arrived early I asked the front desk if I could leave my luggage with them so that I could explore the area. They sent a bellmen to the front desk to gather my things and give me a valet ticket. I did not have cash on me at the time but let him know that I would bring cash when I picked up my things. His entire mannerism changed when he realized he wasn’t getting a tip right then and there. Instead of handing me the ticket he just sets it on the counter. I said “thank you” and he didn’t even say a word back. Just moved on to the next person. I’m sorry, I forgot that unless you get tipped right then and there you can just be rude?? When I valeted in college I would have never acted that way no matter if I was receiving a tip or not. Bellmen or valet… doesn’t matter.
Now for the main course. My best man Brandon had booked the rooms and requested conjoining rooms as we have 6 guests and 2 rooms. We would like to be next to each other… it’s a bachelor trip. Once I was able to check in I went up to the room and noticed it was not conjoining. I didn’t think anything of it as this can happen.. no big deal! When I went downstairs and explained the situation, they said that nothing can be done until Brandon is here in person.. even though he had already requested conjoining rooms. Obviously at this point I am very frustrated as I would like to unpack and go to the pool. Now I have to keep everything packed up just to wait for him to arrive. The funny thing is they couldn’t even tell me if the conjoining rooms were a possibility. Like we requested it???? At this point I just don’t care anymore. All I gotta say is I don’t ever care to come back to Biloxi, but if I do, it sure will not be at the Beau Rivage...
