This hotel was awesome. Kim at the front desk was great and very friendly! The young blonde woman (sorry I can't remember her name) gave us awesome recommendations for local bars because we don't really like the touristy places, and we had a blast at the Filling Station. The hotel was well maintained and so easy to get to as well as centrally located and close to everything in the city. The ocean side view was lovely! We got food to go just before the restaurant closed but no staff complained or rolled their eyes even though we showed up 5 minutes before closing. As far as the food,... excellent! The wings were perfect and the burger was so big we couldn't finish it and the crab cakes were as good as what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant! If you are staying in Biloxi or even as far away as Gulfport you cannot go wrong by staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Biloxi!
I decided to do an edit after reading some other reviews.
For those complaining about the exit ramp being so close to the hotel entrance,... it's called a U - Turn.... go to the next block, work your way over to the left lane and turn around. It's not that difficult. This is not a fault of the hotel.
For those complaining about the cost of food and drink at the hotel, it's called convenience. If you don't want to pay hotel prices for food and drink, get in your car and drive to a local place. If you don't want to drive somewhere to pay a cheaper price you "pay" for convenience!
Dummy Thermostats - no kidding. If people knew anything about a large building they would also know that most all buildings temperatures (and individual rooms) are controlled by what is called a chiller towers and boilers. Your "so called" thermostat only controls the valves that offer hot air or cold air. If you are not getting the desired temperature you want it is probably a problem with the valves not the valve controller - which you are confusing for a thermostat. I would bet 9 times out of 10 it's because you don't know how to operate the valve controller (thermostat). Ours worked just fine. It was hot when we got there and we got cold air. The next morning the temp dropped and we got hot air.
Bedding and mattresses. Do people really expect a hotel bed to be just like their bed at home? 80 percent of people like a firm mattress so hotels tend to have firm mattresses. I would never complain about a hotels mattress because they have to make a decision based on what most people like. And yes the mattresses here are firm, get over it.
Request for particular rooms. It's called a request, that's it. You don't "pay" for a request. I was friendly with the front desk agent (Kim) and was upgraded for free to a ocean side view because they had availability. If you want a specific room (not type but actual room such as an Ocean side view, Bourbon Street Balcony, Interior view, etc) you should call the sales department of the hotel and book that particular room. Don't be surprised if your "request" cannot be granted if you didn't specifically have the sales department "block" that room for you, especially if the hotel is at a high occupancy.
I hope this review helps and again, this hotel is awesome and I...
Read moreDecided to do a weekend getaway to the beach with an ocean view. Requested and PAID for an ocean view but once we arrived it was NOT available! I Was told by the staff that a request is simply that a request. But I PAID for this request. The front desk clerk decided to give us a room that she would like (her words) only to get a view of the parking lot and a jacuzzi tub...which we have at home and my boyfriend is 6'4" and could not fit. Once I complained the next morning I was offered "food coupons" as if I could not purchase my own food. However, it took for someone in housekeeping (Vivienne) and the restaurant manager (Carrie) to get what my complaint was, because NO ONE at the front desk seem to understand or maybe did not want or care to understand. Bigger is not always better....less is more!!!!!! Give me what I PAID FOR!!!! I have stayed in several Sheraton properties....but, these people NEED to get it together and quickly. Paid over $100 nightly for crappy front desk customer service and I fell like I paid for something I did not ask for. Thanks again Vivienne and Carrie for making our stay somewhat tolerable....you ladies...
Read moreI have never written a review for a hotel before though I am over 50 yrs old but feel pressed to now. Though the hotel is decorated nicely and very clean it was the worst service AND BED I have ever slept in.
As we had to check in very late due to last minute business in Biloxi, MS and our regular hotel was full, we went here.
The bed was so hard I couldn't fall asleep until 6AM! It wasn't even a pillow top which for the $179 a night they charged us was horrible but it was too too late to go elsewhere. (I wish be had!) Even for under $50 I would not have liked this.
The complementary water was not there. I had asked for more (and the coffee/creamer that was missing) and never got it. My fiance had to go downstairs after an hour to get it. We were told we were going to get ocean-side and got the parking lot side.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! Even if you don't get the view it is worthwhile to do so. IF you do love hard hard mattresses then maybe this is the...
