Wow..... We thought we would just check out this little place while in town for morialnday 2021. We are from STL and have a pretty great Mardi Gras. After talking to the two ladies here we now know while our Mardi Gras may be larger in capacity it pales in comparison to the theming, pagentry, and experience of a Biloxi MG. I am sorry I have to keep referring to them as "the two ladies" but, the two ladies my wife and I encountered were informative and just a joy to talk to. They truly exhibit a passion for what they do and as amazing as it was to see all the work that goes into the costumes and read about the history and traditions the real experience was meeting these two. I believe it was mother and daughter (I'm like 99% sure ) and they just took such pride in the way their community rallies around MG in Biloxi. They were so forthcoming and engaging in their passion for MG and made it a point to make sure we knew we were welcomed, that we understood more when we left than when we came in, and that all of our (my) dumb questions were answered in great detail. I just can't say enough about this place. As I said, the exhibits are great but the experience is the interaction with the staff ) these two specifically). Stop in and see for yourself. You will feel better after experiencing their love and joy for MG and their warm hospitality and...
Read moreWe took our cub scout pack here, and it was wonderful! Anna was great to work with, and she taught us so many interesting things about the history of Mardi Gras. It is small, but every inch is packed with history of Mardi Gras on the coast. Pictures do not do the gorgeous costumes justice! Our kids ranged in ages from 5 to 15, and they, as well as the adults in our group, were interested and engaged the whole time. After our tour, the kids got to play dress up and try on a bunch of different Mardi Gras costumes. We all had an absolute blast! I highly recommend a visit, especially for groups looking for something fun for...
Read moreI came on a Friday just looking to see what they had. I have not ever been to a Mardi Gras anything on the coast of Mississippi and the gal working was very informative. She gave a whole introduction to what it was like on the coast and in Biloxi, and I think I will try to come back for a parade here during a future Mardi Gras. The video was well made and interesting. The doubloons on display were nice. All of the costumes were pretty darn cool. I would recommend this museum for anyone in the area. Reasonable...
