BED BUGS! BED BUGS! BED BUGS!! Stay away! I awoke around 1am with my hand itching like crazy. After turning on my phone, I immediately spotted the bed bug near my hand. I managed to place my phone on top of it to keep it from escaping. I woke up my partner who had been asleep for about an hour. Luckily he didn’t seem to have been bitten as well. We managed to move the bedbug to a paper cup so that we could show the owner of the motel. We changed out of what we were wearing and wrapped up the clothes in a bag in case the clothes got infected. As we were changing we spotted a second bedbug by my pillow. We captured it as well. We went to the office and the owner came to the door already looking irritated. We told him we had found bedbugs and he began shouting “no!” And claiming they had no bedbugs. He demanded we show him where on the bed the bed bugs were. We went back to the room (room 116) and showed him the bugs in the cup and the swell on my hand. He became more aggressive shouting that we had “planned” this and brought the bed bugs ourselves. We tried to calm him down and tell him we hadn’t “planned” anything and wanted a refund so we could find somewhere else to sleep. He was kept yelling and shouted at us to get out. His younger assistant whom had checked us in was there too but didn’t say anything. He stood there looking ashamed and embarrassed. We ended up leaving and sitting in our car for 2 hours trying to find a new place to sleep. Unfortunately because of the Labor Day weekend and the fair in town there was no availability in a 50 mile radius. We slept in our car. Booking.com, which we booked through, kept giving us the runaround and after 4 days they finally said they couldn’t give us a refund and only the motel could which is obviously unlikely. I will be contacting my credit card and the Dept of Public Health. After reading older reviews, I should have known better. We weren’t the first to encounter bed bugs or the owner’s aggression. Read moreJune 6, 2021, we got the to hotel went inside the office. I told the gentleman I had a reservation, and my name is Jason Jones. The gentleman found my reservation and I told him I and my friend will split the bill like always and the gentleman said we could not do it because we reserved online. I told we always reserve online and split the bill the gentleman told me no. I asked the gentleman could I use the AAA discount he also said no. Then asked him what time breakfast is ready in the morning the gentleman said they will be no breakfast. I explain to him on the hotel website and Priceline where I purchased the rooms, there is supposed to be breakfast and is the only reason why I booked this hotel. The gentleman should there is no breakfast. I asked if I could cancel my reservation and go to a different hotel the gentleman told me know he would still charge for the room if I cancelled. The gentleman told me all the hotels are doing this. My friend and I decided to take the room anyway. We got the room the bathroom door was broke; the shower turns hot and cold without turning the knob and the covers on the bed had holes everywhere. I took several pictures of the room could not get a hold of the office to complain. We woke up the next morning and went fishing all came back around 6pm on the June 07, 2021, and the room was not cleaned. I called the front office for about 20 minutes and finally got a person, the lady said there is no cleaning the rooms and hung up. We used the same towels and went and purchased more shampoo and soap. We got up at 7am on June 8, 2021, and went to turn in the key and talk about the room and there was note to leave the keys on the counter no one in office. We are extremely disappointed and will never go back to this hotel again. We go to bishop California twice a year for the last 20 years and never had these problems. Read moreBad management Bug problem, when I mean "bug problem" Its like little Beatles storm the beaches of Normandy in the upper floor near 217 & 218. Some poor buggers were KIA just with me trying to grab all my stuff and get out of dodge. One moment you are watching tv and the next you are trying reclaim your stuff from the little devils. At this point, you the reader might think I am over exaggerating my misfortune. However, it made me leave a motel with great free wifi and I'm in my twenties. As I am writing this right now, I am worried that two Beatles got in my suitcase and are listening to Marvin Gay. Can't say that it was all the rooms but I think I can't stay in super8's for months or years with this nightmare. When report the problem to management, the manger first blame me for leaving the door open. "Right manger I left the door open all night and watch one bug after another go in the room where all my clothes are and were I was supposed to be sleeping that night". So, after the manager realize I was not buying what he was selling he claimed it was just a "bad season for bugs in the area" I am not saying he knew the problem before hand but he had no problem passing the buck. All I needed was a "oh dear I'm sorry, thanks for bringing it to my attention, lets refund you" and it would have been water under the bridge but instead I got "You left the door open and I'll be nice and refund you." That really PO me. Was offer a discount for another room but I did not want to give him one more penny by how he treated the situation. Anyways now I get sleep in my car because everywhere else is booked on the weekend and I am here for work on a project, yea me!
