Delicious food for a fair price, served up in a cute lil cafe run by very sweet, passionate folks. Pupfish Cafe is kinda embedded into a book store, so you can enter straight from there after parking on the side of the building or enter through the back door which has a parking lot right outside of it. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and I added salmon (for extra $), and it was very good. They legit gave me an entire avocado-worth of slices, which was more than enough. Three people in my group got the waffle sandwich and absolutely loved it. One complained about the syrup embedded into the waffle being too sweet. The other in my group ordered the tuna melt which was loaded with cheese and had a small salad on the side—they also enjoyed it. There is a restroom inside of the book store, which customers of the restaurant are allowed to use. Food definitely 5/5 and friendly service with self-serving water and additions for coffee at a station near the seating area = 5/5 for service. Atmosphere was a neatly decorated, modern cafe so also 5/5. Definitely stop here for great food and a nice vibe!

If ever passing remotely through or near Bishop, this is the hey 395 stop to make. I'll never drive through Bishop on my way to Mammoth or Tahoe without stopping here first! Front is all unique bookstore, used & new items. Nice pottery, pride items, incense, you name it. Reasonably priced... we bought both new & used books & gifts! Cafe is in the back. Indoor & patio seating. Great food. I ordered a custom spinach salad & hubby ordered portobello panini & peppermint tea. Everything, including the service, was excellent. They had food for vegans, vegetarians, Paleo & meat eaters. Smart menu!

The best breakfast place in town!!! There’s so much to say… The paninis never get old and their waffles are a MUST! They offer a paleo breakfast too which is phenomenal. Lattes are so incredible! I usually end up getting 2 😬. With the bookstore right there, you’ll never want to leave. A coffee and a book in hand… nothing is better. My kids love the steamed milk for their “coffee” drink 🤣 I’d have to say the best part of it all is how it feels. It feels like you’re sitting at a friends house enjoying great company. Thank you for opening such an amazing place!

Honestly this place is more expensive than airport food and the quantity is less. If you eat more than a five-year-old, you’ll leave this place hungry. The food quality is okay, but not spectacular. The service is absolutely awful. No matter how kind the customers were in front of me or after me, the workers we extremity rude and disrespectful. They even let their friends cut in line and made people wait upwards or an extra 10 minutes to chat to them about music festivals or dance parties. So unprofessional. A lot of people just decided to leave while waiting.

Atmosphere is okay - the bookshop is the best part of everything. If you’re hungry, go to the grocery store and buy food for 1/10th of the price. Or, head to looney bean - better food and service for...

This was a really nice quick and tasty breakfast. It's behind a bookstore.

Food was simple tasty breakfast. The spreads were all delicious! It definitely kicked up the simple breakfast sandwich and paninis. I'm not a fan of eggs but the cilantro spread on my finances Avo, egg and cheese Panini w/ cilantro spread made me feel like I was missing out! I had the Portobello mushroom panini was very tasty. Our respective latte and matcha was good, but the sandwiches were definitely a must try.

Patio in the back next to the parking lot to enjoy the sun and day, very dog friendly, and nice to find a book and enjoy with a coffee...
