We drove by this place on our way back home from Cali, I’m kinda a control freak so I asked a bunch of questions and ended up getting a custom sandwich with a scattered add on list, but all I asked for was the turkey sandwich with spinach instead of lettuce and some pesto and I also told the girl I like avocados and she made it sound like she added it on there because she said ok, is that everything and then she wrapped it up because I think she was getting overwhelmed even tho I wasn’t done😂😂. If only she knew I have a sensitivity to plenty of foods and I just wanted to pick what would be alright for my stomach. I wasn’t upset at all about that BUT I only asked for so much and they didn’t even put the avocado on it which was the reason I went to this place(I saw they had avocado on most of their sandwiches n I love it). It’s whatever it was so good, but I felt kinda ripped off because it only had a few...

Enjoyed our stop here again driving through. Also stopped by Schat's Bakery too, but I like how it's less crowded here and I'm fine with the fewer options of breads, sandwiches, cookies, and pastries as long as they're good. They should put prices on all their menu items as I had to ask the cashier for prices.

Breakfast Croissant sandwich- I appreciate they use organic eggs and it was hot when I got it. This was a FULL meal as it was a large sandwich. Pretty good. I would get it again for an easy meal.

Iced Chai Latte- Meh. Too light in flavor for me.

Cookies- Rosemary Shortbread was strong in rosemary flavor, but I would've liked the cookie to melt in my mouth more easily comparing it to others I've had elsewhere. Sierra Mud Cookie- Still my fav. Strong in chocolate flavor and it's gluten free!

Psst... This is where the locals go instead of going to Schat's bakery!

Bagels, croissants, breads, cookies, you name it. EVERYTHING is good. I've yet to try something I didn't like.

Were you thinking of having a nasty McDonald's muffin for breakfast? Go to Great Basin instead! I like getting an everything bagel with eggs, cheese, and sausage. It's amazing!

No, it's not as big or as fancy as Schat's. You won't feel like a Dutch shepherd. If you're wanting 20 racks of sheepherder bread, I guess go to Schat's. But if you want consistently delicious baked goods and sandwiches, go to Great Basin.

Where else can you get a chocolate croissant that actually tastes like a Pain au Chocolat from a Parisian patisserie?

Go here now. Right now. Just do it. You...

Great local bakery, really loved that their sandwiches are made fresh on the spot to order, so you know there’s not loads of food waste. They also use for the vast majority paper and card packaging. Both unlike the other bakery in town which was mountains of single use plastic on the shelves of prepared sandwiches, surely too many to sell. I highly recommend the Great Basin Bakery sandwiches on sourdough, I loved the feta and spinach croissant and then the chocolate orange scone was super fluffy and mega tasty. Great for a climbing crag brekkie and lunch to take with you. They also have some nice locally made sauces and honey and had some yummy veggie options.

Best bakery in Bishop! Much more than baked goods tho. Salads, sandwiches and the best soup I’ve ever had. Red Pepper Gouda on Wednesday and Thursday is incredible. The French bread is to die for. Hot filled croissants in the morning are perfect. Parking can be difficult but it is worth it! They are opening an Outlet Store soon in the RiteAid/Big 5 shopping center. 7/27 the Outlet is open! 10-5😊❤️

Wow what a sandwich. My wife ordered it on line while we were driving up the 395 and it was ready when we got there. So good we ordered another one on the way back down. Will be stopping by anytime we are going by. UPDATE. We still stop by this place every time we drive by we try to plan our breakfast stop here cuz oh my God it's so good. Got to get the jalapeno cheese bagel.
