Picked this place as the price was right. NOW I KNOW WHY! The location was on a small side street that was in a residential neighborhood/industrial area. Looks like I was going in a large sardine can. Parking spots very tight,(if you have a SUV it's close), Needs new paint and is very run down. At first when I check in the desk was very polite. In the room I was sent to the Toilet bowl had a black hair and brown spot in side of bowl. There was a phone in room and I wanted to call desk, but no cord, so I had to walk back to office. They Switched rooms. 2nd room, had a stale smell and had black on base of wall in bathroom, not sure if it was mold. A/C was not cooling room, if it was going to cool it was so loud we had to talk louder to each other. WIFI that was promised did not work in room, worked in parking lot, had to stand outside in the heat. The second room had a phone cord on night stand but no phone in room. Went to desk to say sorry, thanks for trying but we can't stay here. The attitude with front desk, I assume it was the owner changed attitude to nasty. They said we switched rooms, I said it was not my fault the toilet was dirty, they were blaming me that they had to switch rooms. My husband used toilet in 2nd room, so they were going to charge $50. I offered $30, I was told $50 and that's what it's going to cost for housekeeping and now I have 2 rooms I can't rent till Tomorrow. Yet I saw the a Front desk agent go to 1st room and clean the toilet. Now that room can be rented. Nothing else was touched in either room. A change in attitude to Very rude and talked down to me. I'm surprised this place has passed health inspection. I also don't know why it still says America's Best on the ice bucket, if they no...
Read moreI stayed (solo) the night on February 7th and 8th, 2025. I have always been the kinda guy who can stay anywhere as long as it is acceptably clean. By that I mean bugs and the room gets some level of cleaning. Unfortunately, even this great rate, wasn't worth it. When I checked in the hotel receptionist was dressed in clothing that didn't appear to have been changed for some time. She had food and beverage stains on her clothing that appeared to have been established some time ago and all over her top. I fully understand that a receptionist at a low budget hotel may not afford, or want to afford, the latest fashion, but I would expect anybody working with the public to at least have on clean attire - regardless. When I checked in there were no bath towels in my room and I showered and dried off with a hand towel. Not the end of the world. However, the next day when I came back to the hotel, at about 4:00 PM I notified the receptionist (wearing the same stained top), that I did not receive any bath towels and could I get one for my shower that evening. She asked why I was telling her so late in the day and I responded that I had left very early that morning and had just returned. She said she would see what she could do. I never received a bath towel and I showered and dried with the same hand towel from the day before. Again, not the end of the world. But enough for me to cancel my March, 2025 reservation as this one just isn't worth it to me. If you are trying to upset a spouse or other significant other, I would stay here. Otherwise, I would not...
Read moreThis is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Bishop Inn should not even qualify as a 1-star property. When we arrived, the host was literally sleeping in the front office. Once we finally got his attention and checked us in, he gave us a key to a room that was absolutely disgusting.||The room looked and smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The furniture was stained and broken, the walls were filthy, and the bedding looked like it hadn’t been washed — ever. There was hair all over the bed — both animal hair and what appeared to be human hair. The shower was no better — strands of human hair were stuck to the walls and floor. The air in the room reeked of wet dog or some kind of animal — a strong, dirty smell that made it impossible to even breathe comfortably.||I showed the host the condition of the room, and he offered to move us to another one — but that one was just as bad, maybe worse. It had the same unbearable animal stench, and everything from the carpets to the walls looked filthy and neglected. The photos I’ve attached don’t even fully capture how awful the place felt and smelled in person.||After seeing all this, I didn’t even stay the night — I just left. I was completely shocked that this place is legally allowed to operate and provide service to human beings. And if you look at the photos — especially the one of the pool — that alone should tell you everything. This place is a health hazard and should be shut down...
