This was my first time to try out Amigo's, and seeing they had 4.5 stars I figured it would a great place to try. I ordered a Burrito to go. I wanted Al Pastor which is my favorite meat for a burrito. I told the waitress that I wanted Carne Asada seeing they didn't have Al Pastor. I ordered rice, whole beans, lettuce, and cheese. No guacamole, no sour cream no salsa, no Pico. I received my order and took it with me on the road to enjoy. Well when I opened up the container the burrito wasn't wrapped, but basically just folded on the sides, and on the ends, I could not even pick it up because all the ingredients would have fallen out, and because they put hot sauce over the top of the burrito so I couldn't pick it up. Inside was only meat, lettuce, and beans, NOT what I had asked for. I have had burritos all over CA., AZ., NM., and I can truly state this was the poorest example of a burrito I have ever consumed. Now I cannot speak about their other items, I did not try them, but I suggest to anyone who plans to eat at Amigo's, make real sure they understand what it is you want, and double check your order if it's take out. P.S. This burrito also cost $14.00....YIKES! I partially blame myself for not going back, but I was just to far away, and too hungry to have them...
Read moreThese guys are probably the best Mexican restaurant I've been to. And I've been to many! The food is very authentic and VERY tasty. Best tamales and tacos I've had, honestly, and the sauces and salsas in this place are incredible. The rice is excellent. Even the tortilla chips are special: they're thick and flavorful. Dipping them in the salsa and eating them is a heavenly experience. The only complaint I have about this place, though I don't mind it, is that the bathrooms are in a bit of an awkward location in a hallway where the doors swing out and block the hallway. That's it. The food more than makes up for this quirk. And don't get me started on the staff. They're super nice and super attentive. And I'm pretty sure that most of them are related to the owner haha! It feels good supporting small businesses like this, especially when they are just absolutely outdoing every other Mexican restaurant out there. Outstanding...
Read moreWe've been coming here for several years and have been treated very well. I have a Service Dog who wears a clearly marked vest and have never had a problem until today. We were seated and a young girl came up telling us dogs aren't allowed. When I told her she was a Service Dog she said it didn't matter. She disappeared and another female came up telling us the same thing. When I explained she was a Service Dog she said it didn't matter and walked away.
15 minutes passed with others being seated and served ahead of us. We were totally ignored until my girlfriend walked up and asked if we were going to be served. After 20 minutes we finally got water, chips and salsa but there was definitely a tension in the room.
We've been loyal customers for several years and have had great food and service. I sincerely hope this can be resolved in...
