We had the most wonderful stay at the Boone Home2 Suites! What a gorgeous, sparkly, clean, accommodating hotel in beautiful Boone right on King Street. Great location being close to the cute li'l downtown! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very well kept, brightly lit at night, and the staff were professional, friendly, kind, and attentive. We stayed three nights and had everything we needed, when we needed it. Daily Free Breakfast was AMAZING!!! It consisted of a variety of proteins such as egg bites, egg patties, hard boiled eggs, or scrambled eggs depending on the day, oatmeal with several topping options, potatoes, fresh fruits such as blueberries and strawberries, sweet and savory pastries, and my favorite—all natural responsibly raised chicken sausage and pork chorizo sausage, again the variety depending on the day. There was a variety of fresh breads so you could create a sandwich or breakfast bowl. There is also a toaster. You can also make fresh waffles on waffle makers and top them off with gourmet toppings such as caramel and regular syrups, chocolate chips, and whipped cream, dairy and non dairy milks were available, cereals, fresh yogurts, and cream cheese. Blown away by the free fresh breakfast. They thought of everything—gluten free guests will have no problem finding a delicious, filling, healthy breakfast. After eating here, I realized this hotel's breakfast blows away the other local hotel's complimentary breakfast where we normally stay in Boone (Hampton Inn). This is our new go to hotel in Boone. THE ROOM: To sum it up~Spacious, meticulously clean, plenty of charging ports on each side of bed, one side table by sleeper sofa, along the desk area, and everything we needed for our stay. I like the Home2 Suites concept where the room is laid out by zones. Kitchen: A nice sized fridge/freezer (not a mini fridge!), microwave, plates, bowls, glasses, kitchen food prep essentials, sink, even a dishwasher. Coffee maker, with coffee, creamer, and sweetener options. Staff pleasantly kept us restocked. Bathroom: Full walk-in shower, well lit, spacious, dryer, stocked with clean minimal ingredient, high quality soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, and most of all, very clean! Sitting area: Double sized sleeper sofa, side table, ottoman, large screen TV, desk, pullout table nested underneath, ergonomic desk chair, dresser drawers, divided curtain between this area and the bed area. Bed: The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. Ample hangers in a curtained wardrobe, a luggage rack, iron/ironing board, adjustable blinds.
Elevators: fast and efficient, and clean!
Gym: Really nice space for keeping up with your workouts while traveling--Peloton bikes were awesome to have access to! Awesome weights and machines, TRX suspension trainers, definitely an upgrade from a typical hotel workout room.
Laundry: Free washer/dryer usage.
Pet friendly: LOVED seeing doggy treats by the front desk.
Outdoor area/firepits: There are two fire pits and ample seating in the entire outdoor area beside the hotel. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit each night, relaxing, making smore's, and we even got to teach a family visiting from another country how to make roast marshmallows and make smore's for the first time. The fire pits worked perfectly and staff ensured that we were able to enjoy them every night. The outdoor area is spacious enough that there is room for several groups at one time.
We came in late one night and the hotel was sold out, so parking spaces were limited. The front desk manager helped us park right by the front door all night which was great! She was so kind and helpful to do that for us, ensuring that we had a good option for parking. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable with the parking situation.
My wife and I highly recommend Home2 Suites of Boone, NC. Our stay exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning. It will be a perfect hotel to bring our kids when we return. Thank you for a...

Read moreDate of Stay: June 22, 2025 Room Type Reserved: Double Queen Room Type Received: King Bed
Overall Experience: Terrible Would I Recommend This Hotel? Absolutely not
I reserved a double queen room to accommodate my family of five and our two dogs. Upon arriving at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 22nd, I was told the room was not yet ready but that I would receive a call once it was. I never received that call. When I returned around 5:30 PM, I was informed that only a king room was available. This was completely unacceptable for the size of my party.
When I expressed my frustration and asked to speak with a manager, the front desk staff member (whose gender I could not determine) escalated the situation unreasonably—going so far as to call the police and have us removed from the property. All I did was calmly ask for the room I reserved or to speak to a manager. I have never experienced anything like this in all my years of travel.
To make matters worse, when I called the property in the following days to speak with a manager about the incident, none of my calls were returned.
As a former Hilton Diamond Member, this was beyond disappointing. I expected at least basic professionalism and accountability. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I am requesting a full refund and a formal apology. Without that, I will no longer stay at any Hilton property for business or...
