This establishment is really a joke. I visited this restaurant last night with my girlfriend after looking for some restaurants in the area and decided to give it a shot. We didn’t catch the servers name because he never gave it to us... the only thing he did give us was mad attitude lol. The first warning sign was when he asked us if we wanted drinks and we said we’d just like water for now as we look. He literally stared us down as if we just did something nasty and then walked away ( I’m assuming he wanted to build the check up for a bigger tip at this point already ). It took him about 30 minutes to get us our water to the table. We waited so long for the entrees to come out that they actually brought us out our deserts before it LOL. We returned the deserts to wait for the entrees and when we had got the deserts later, it was the same ones that they prepped and just let sit there ( whip cream was melted all over the deserts ). No utensils were switched out for apps, entrees, or deserts. Not one time was a beverage asked to be refilled. The waiter had a short blond hair comb over style and was wearing black suit .. I now will never trust any waiter with this attire .. lol jk but really though I’ve never had such a bad experience at a ‘high end’ restaurant before. The dirt on the cake was when we got the bill and saw that the gratuity was automatically applied for us at 18% for a table of two. I then saw why he treated us the way he did for our whole experience eating there .. it’s because he didn’t care.
EDIT RESPONSE TO OWNER: It may seem “odd” in your perspective for me as a customer to not complain about the service but understand that when people like me go out to dine, we aren’t there to critique and complain... we are simply there to enjoy a dinner out. We waited 30 minutes to get water, and not once was checked up on for a simple refill. We spent over 2 hours there and most of it was waiting, we weren’t attended too and quite frankly we simply decided we weren’t going to ever go back to your restaurant instead of complaining to non...
Read moreMy mom and sister were looking for good, local seafood. Since this place accepted reservations my sister booked there. I offered to find something more local, but we decided to keep the reservation since we had our elderly mother with us, and it is difficult to stand and wait at restaurants with her. As I expected this restaurant is exactly what it is; a mediocre hotel restaurant. I ordered the avocado fries because the waiter promised they had no breading on them just seasoning. When they arrived they were clearly lightly breaded with some sort of breading which I can only assume contained some sort of wheat, which I am allergic to. The waiter continued to insist that they had nothing other than seasoning on them. I gave them to my daughter as her fish and chips (waiter recommended) were heavily fried (very dark) and bland and tasteless, so we sent those back. The waiter was very gracious and kept asking us if he could bring us another plate, but I was just ready to leave. My youngest daughter ordered the shrimp cavatelli (waiter recommended) I ate the shrimp out of her dish (quite bland), but the pasta was cold and mushy with little flavor and the broccolini in the dish was also lackluster. If you are at the hotel and do not want to go outside this would be acceptable to go to. Other than that I...
Read moreNice place in a fancy new hotel, just a bit pricey for my standards (but not pricey for the area so it’s all relative).
The pros: comfortable chairs, not too loud music so you can have a conversation, easy to meet new people at events that they host, and very friendly staff.
Cons: it was a bit pricey and took a bit long to get your food.
I ordered a pizza to go (to my room) and it was priced by topping count. I chose a single topping pizza (pepperoni) and it cost $23, which I found a bit excessive. But I checked out other restaurants around and didn’t immediately find another option for pizza, so I figured this was better that ordering a pizza from UberEats that would be cold by the time I got it.
Once I ordered the pizza, I was invited to stay and wait at the bar. Conversations there were lovely, but I waited for what felt like a long time. It took me over 30 minutes to get served the food, and the pizza itself felt like it had a pre-made base, so I don’t know why it took so long. Hardly anyone else in the restaurant was there to eat (just there for drinks), so I was a bit annoyed when I was still there waiting past that half hour mark.
But the pizza was tasty, I’d rate the food itself as a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. It hit the spot, at least, because I was very hungry by the time I...
