Normally I don’t do reviews. Service has to be exceptionally good, or like in this case, exceptionally bad. I found the GM to be pretty terrible and lacking empathy and the lady who checked us in I found to be patronizing. I’ve been going to IHGs since I first became an adult- so over a decade and then some. When there has been an issue (regardless of personal or facility issues) other facilities just say hey we understand the plight and cancel with no issues even with an established policy. Not this one. In over a decade of staying at hotels and probably close to total stay time of around 9 months of IHG hotel stays. Other issues as follows-

Pool is green. There is a pool supply store across the street and it doesn’t appear the facility knows it is there.

Not dog friendly. The “dog area” is with the smoking area. Not cool. No grass. If you have a princess dog like mine, good luck.

Not clean. There are multiple stains on the floor. My toddler found an old hash brown on the floor. I found multiple long blonde hairs (I’m a brunette and my hair is short right now). The tub is rusted in some places. The shower had nasty hair in it making it hard to drain and there was some up on the wall. Not talking singular hairs but ones that should been picked up or wiped off.

No WiFi- half the hotel is under construction (per GM) and the man at the desk says there are too many people on the WiFi for us to get on. Half the hotel is empty and we can’t get WiFi seems like false advertisement.

safety issue- toddler, husband and I have terrible colds. We think hey, one of us will shower and the other will hold toddler in the bathroom for steam and help loosen the toddler and us up. Water just doesn’t get hot. It’s time for the toddler to get washed up and mid wash the water turns to a fiery inferno making even my skin red. Yeah.. real thrilled about that one. For clarity- the handle wasn’t moved and went from lukewarm to fire.

Another safety issue- this is supposed to be a “secure” hotel but rocks, hoses, and whatever else has these doors opened. That isn’t safe and doesn’t match the posted signs. If it has to do with construction- “In an effort to provide you with the best quality of stay we will be refreshing the property beginning in late July. We don't expect this to impact on your stay.” It does.

There is also no cold water. We let the water run a few minutes and nothing. Luke warm or inferno only.

We paid for comfort and amenities. We found poor cleaning, poor practices, and a GM with poor people skills. I recommend going closer to ASU if you want...

During my recent visit to Buckeye, Arizona, I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Buckeye - Phoenix. Situated conveniently off the highway, this hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay for both business and leisure travelers alike.

It's easily accessible from the highway, making it convenient for those traveling by car. Nearby amenities include shopping centers and dining options within a short driving distance.

Accommodation: The rooms at Holiday Inn Buckeye are spacious and well-appointed. My room was clean, modern, and equipped with all the necessary amenities including a comfortable bed, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with essentials.

Dining: The hotel features an on-site restaurant and bar, providing a convenient dining option for guests. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of hot and cold items, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. The restaurant's dinner menu also had a variety of choices, catering to different tastes.

Facilities: Holiday Inn Buckeye offers a range of facilities to enhance the guest experience. The outdoor pool area is a nice spot to relax and unwind, especially during the warmer months. Service: The service at Holiday Inn Buckeye was friendly and efficient. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff members were helpful with any inquiries or requests. Housekeeping services were prompt and maintained the cleanliness of the room throughout my stay.

Overall Experience: Overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Buckeye - Phoenix was pleasant and comfortable. It's a reliable choice for travelers looking for a well-managed hotel with standard amenities and good service. While it may not be a luxury resort, it certainly meets expectations for a mid-range hotel and provides a solid base for exploring Buckeye and the surrounding area.

Rating: 10/10 I would recommend Holiday Inn Buckeye - Phoenix to anyone visiting the area for business or leisure, seeking a comfortable stay with convenient amenities and friendly service. It's a solid choice for travellers looking for reliability and value during their stay in...

I'm not a very picky person, but when you PAY for something....... I made reservations 2 months in advance I understand that I ordered them through a third party and cancellations are almost impossible after cancellation dates, but after staying a couple of nights I asked for my refund of a deposit that I had put down for the week! now I was charged by the hotel not the third party website they almost refused my check out. Now, the general manager handles it with Expedia and I appreciate the fact that he let me leave his hotel after charging me for two nights for an empty room that I did not stay in that was the only way I could be released and check out if he added two additional nights to cancel my reservation I will never be going back to Holiday inn the music outside of my room kept me up all the nights I was there the staff was friendly but to an extent it was very robotic there's one way in and one way out. For having arthritis, the water temperature wasn't warm enough for me I felt like I was taking a cold shower everytime. I tried my best to make it work for my family of six and animals but it just wasn't they gave me a very hard time for the same price I'm at home2suites and we are more comfortable than ever this is the best hotel in buckeye I've been here for 15 years. That was my experience at holiday inn! Gipped out of 300$ . I'm moving on. Btw, pull out beds are a no go there! Not...

10/10 recommend this hotel in Buckeye Arizona @Holiday Inn Express by IHG The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our A/C went out so we had to come stay here for a couple nights they even extended our stay for later check out time. Also it comes with free mini breakfast & my kids loved it. Also to top it off they are pet friendly too. Not an aesthetic video like most people post but this is what I got .😂 🤷🏻‍♀️

Impossibly clean and prim, this hotel line stands above the rest, continuously providing the highest quality pillows, bedding options, and overall prestigious feel to your hotel stay for a fair price. At the moment, the continental breakfast is served by someone at your request and other items are pre packaged in brown lunch bags. Lobby seating is spaced out and available at your own discretion. Lobby receptionist at check in and check out were stellar. Coffee available at the front desk all night and day, helped myself to one at both times, and mild Christmas decorations spread throughout the hotel. Bathrooms were clean, tidy, and well stocked. For some reason the room window was cracked open when we showed up, so we were freezing for a moment there, but they have high quality room heater and AC system so the discomfort was only momentary. A go-to option for hotels whenever one is available. And their pillows are probably one of the best I've used in a hotel. Ridiculous! Need to buy some now. Cool little lamp at the desk too, touch sensitive!

First off the girl at the counter was basically never there during the night you could have walked away with really anything. There should be a page button or something you can call to get service. Secondly, the window on the second floor is bolted in. It made me feel super claustrophobic. Overall the hot tub was worth it. The room was clean and exactly what I needed it to do. They do have hot breakfast but it didn't seem like anybody was there. The skybar or whatever they call it that sells all the extra stuff. You have to find an attendant to actually get somewhere with that which is nearly impossible. If you're going in there in the evening it seems. All in all would I go back if I was in the area? Sure because I know exactly what to expect and overall the experience wasn't horrible. What would I go out of my way to do this? No probably not.
