I traveled to Buckeye Arizona for an aviation event during February 2025. Staying at My Place Hotel for four evenings was a wonderful experience. Starting off with a very polite employee (Kai) who greeted me and explained accommodations at the hotel and surrounding restaurants and stores I proceeded to take my luggage to my room. Quiet, clean, and spacious I was all set. A full-size refrigerator, two-plate stove, and full-size microwave awaited my use. Some guests are there for a much longer work period, so these accommodations are welcoming and necessary. For me, I used the refrigerator to keep things chilled during my stay. |The hotel is far enough away from the highway, so it is very quiet at night. This is one thing I appreciate very much. |I use the carpeted stairwell every day to get the little bit of exercise I like to get in to start my day. Super clean, fresh smelling, and safe. Plenty of light so one feels safe. ||I’ll be back again next year for the same aviation event. My Place will be My Place again—a home away from home. I do not write many reviews, but when one is warranted, I feel compelled to let others know. If you're reading this, rest assured that you will be happy. |Before I forget, plenty of hot, fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Gotta start my day with a cup or two. |Happy...
Read moreUPDATED: In response to Owner's remarks: Kindly state clearly that it is easier to manage it not having to deal with sanitization of dishware. Because if you "sanitize" the washrooms, sheets, and towels every time a guest leaves, the same would apply to the dishware, therefore, your point doesn't make sense. Also, I refuse to call pre-packaged snack "breakfast". Only food made by order, with real nutrients/ingredients can take such denomination. This hotel is clean - good for my standards. We spent 1 week there due to work. Facility smelled ok. Internet would reset every night, so we had to reconnect our devices daily. Everything in the room was functional. There is no complimentary breakfast, so we used the room's kitchenette to prepare our meals. Different from majority of hotels that offer rooms with kitchenettes, this hotel chain does not provide any utensils (pans, plates, cutlery, etc), their option is having the most common items for sale in the lobby. Even though is located in a very hot AZ area, there is no pool, therefore, entertaining children is limited. Location is very nice with a lot of stores (retail and groceries), restaurants and medical services in a walk distance. Close to highways and only ~30 min...
Read moreMy room had a two-burner kitchenette with microwave oven with over-and-under refrigerator freezer. There was a mini coffee brewing machine with cups, coffee condiment pack (sweetener, stirer, napkin, and creamer), and one each regular and decaf coffee packets. Plenty of cabinet space - all completely empty - so bring your own... everything but coffee.
The bath had plenty of fluffy white towels and wash cloths. The tiny square soaps were awkward to handle and the drain plug was dated (push-twist) and was closed when I climbed in. Water got hot promptly.
The bed was comfortable and clean, with four pillows. The TV was adequate. The WiFi was flawed, with some websites seemingly blocked. Electrical outlets were plentiful and conveniently positioned.
Because of the kitchenette, no free breakfast. I was there after Thanksgiving, thankfully, so I didn't need it.
They have coffee, half-and-half, and sugar (not sugar in the raw though) gratis at the front desk, and reception was professional and even charming.
Location was okay; not too far off the Interstate, but more industrial than lovely. WalMart and Dutch Bros....
