It's quality pub fare served under the guise of fast food. For a little more than a combo burger meal at McDonald's, you can get at Hook Burger fresh, perfectly cooked patties with a assortment of fresh ingredients encased in a soft, tasty brioche bun. They claim to have conscientiously procured meats and vegetables in their food, and it's apparent in how it tastes. Nothing "fast food" about that California Burger I just had! I only say fast food because the food comes out quick. Burgers, salads...pretty much their whole menu is top notch. Even their ranch sauce is awesome. Likewise their selection of drinks, from their beers and wines, to milkshakes, floats and homemade rootbeer. We were delighted to find out we can substitite tuna instead of chicken in their Caesar salad. They do have a bar at this branch, plus a good-sized dining area, a covered outdoor dining patio, and lots more outdoor seating in the front. The staff is always courteous and helpful, as they bring your order to your table and always ask if you need anything when they pass by. Parking is usually abundant this side of Empire Center, and though there are lots of food places to choose from around the shopping complex, we usually end up at Hook Burger when we want a quick, fresh, and...
Read moreSo this place is pretty good, BUT VERY PRICEY. We ordered 1 grilled cheese, 2 hook burgers with cheese(they charge extra for cheese, unsure of how much extra) 3 orders of fries(they charge extra for those as well) and 1 drink and 2 cups of water and it was a little over $40 which is insane. The portions are also VERY small considering the heafty price they charge. My burger was pretty tasty, nice presentation but it was a little dry and for the price I was expecting a huge burger or at the very least a juicy one. I don't think I'll come back and I wouldn't recommend this place. Way too expensive and not even worth the price. You can see in the picture ive included the tiny portion, the pickle slice is almost as big as the burger and for $8 with tax not including cheese, that's ridiculous. The fries are about the same size as a McDonald's small size but 4 times as much....
Read moreThis food place is located in the Empire Center right next to Verizon Wireless and Jamba Juice. It's kind of tricky because it's hidden but once you find those main spots, you can't miss it. I tried out there classic burger with fries. My girlfriend tried the same with a root beer while I got a budweiser. I have to say this place is fantastic. The burger is juice and the fries are soft and crunchy at the same time just the way I like them. It kind of reminds of In-n-Out fries. They have a seating inside and outside. The vibe is kind of a sports bar but still family friendly. Price wise it's a good deal because if you get the combo it's a lot cheaper. Staff will tell you as well. The employees are accomodating and fulfill your needs. Overall a good experience coming here.I will definitely come back to try out their different...
