Disclaimer: I'm not a huge fan of Krispy Kreme to begin with (I'm more of a Randy's fan), but my partner likes them, so we visit this location now and then. And only this location. The drive-thru is convenient, and even though the lines can be intimidating, they actually go pretty quickly. Props for handing the traffic. However, customer service lacks at this location. Time and time again, that proves to be true.
Just last night, around 1:00am, he noticed on the app that there was a "BESWEET" deal, where you get $1-dozen with your order of 1 dozen, available on Saturdays and Sundays. It was 1am, an hour into Saturday, so we decided to go and claim the deal, since we were in the area, and had a gathering we could bring them to the following day. We waited in the drive-thru line, ordered (1 dozen Original Cream Filled), and asked for the deal to be redeemed. The lady on the drive-through speaker said she could NOT fulfill the deal, because their system doesn't reset until 1:30am. What?! We're here now! And it's Saturday. We even heard someone else ask for the deal, and they too were rejected for the same reason. Well, we weren't going to wait 30 minutes, so we just proceeded with our original order. Whatever. But it continues...
Well, we got our dozen. We paid, drove away, opened up the box, and immediately demolish two donuts because we're vultures. We then realized, they gave us the wrong order. We ordered original cream filled, and they gave us original glazed... which, yes, are delicious, but NOT what we ordered. So, we circled back around, went back through the drive-through, informed them that we got the wrong order. We drove up, and they acted confused. One gentleman said that they "warned you when you ordered that the cream filled didn't have stipes." (he did NOT warn me, and what?! You're basically calling me a liar?!) I told him that that was not true, and that we ATE two and they were indeed originals. He then had the audacity to ask "How deep did you bite into it??? Because sometimes they're not filled all the way."...... EXCUSE ME?!?! I glared at him, and told him to please correct the order. He then returned with 6 original cream filled's, all of which had dominate stripes on them. Appalling. But, I guess we got our deal in the end, LOL.
Now, this incident is not the first of many poor customer service experiences here, not just by me, but my immediate family and close friends who laugh whenever we bring up that we went to this place. Didn't realize it had a reputation. Disappointing. Gotta work on getting my partner to give up on this place, haha....
Read moreKrispy Kreme has always been my go-to for succulent, melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts, but their Burbank location has exceeded my expectations and redefined the doughnut experience for me!
Visiting the store is like embarking on a magical journey of sweetness, glaze, and absolute delight. The atmosphere is both inviting and comforting. You are welcomed by the warm, sugary scent that caresses your senses the moment you step in. Their amicable staff is always ready with a smile, making you feel right at home while offering their services with unmatchable professionalism.
This store doesn't just do doughnuts right; it also maintains an unparalleled standard of cleanliness. Despite the steady stream of customers coming in and out, they manage to keep the place impeccably clean. The efficient service, combined with the spotless environment, reflects the quality of this place.
Now, let me get to the star of the show, the new Chocolate Doughnut. If I could choose one word to describe it, it would be 'heavenly'. But that wouldn't do it justice. The doughnut is pure artistry in both appearance and taste. Its presentation is a beautiful meld of simplicity and elegance, with a glossy chocolate glaze perfectly enveloping the doughnut's signature fluffy texture.
From the very first bite, you can taste the high-quality chocolate, smooth and rich. It marries seamlessly with the doughnut's soft, pillowy interior, creating an indulgence that teases and satisfies the taste buds simultaneously. It isn't overly sweet, but just right, making each bite a perfect balance of flavours. The doughnut is so delicious that it leaves you wanting more even after the last bite.
If you're a chocolate lover, this new addition is a must-try. And even if you're not, I bet this doughnut can change your mind. It's more than a treat, it's an experience, a journey of rich, velvety chocolate in the embrace of the classic Krispy Kreme doughnut.
In conclusion, Krispy Kreme Burbank has proven to be an extraordinary doughnut destination. Their constant innovation in taste and commitment to quality, along with their welcoming atmosphere and great service, makes it a must-visit place. Kudos to them for creating a chocolate doughnut that feels like a dream come true for all of us doughnut and chocolate enthusiasts!
I can't wait to see what they come up with next! Until then, you'll find me in the corner of their store, savoring their delightful...
Read moreThe manager Carla and the employees were great. Today(9/13/2020) during the mid-day rush they had to deal with a big "Karen" moment with the line waiting outside the store. My boyfriend and I got in line and waited just like everyone else and once we got closer to the door the people waiting in front of us(a mom, grandpa, and kiddo) were joined by another mom, a grandma, and three more very little kids. So their group of just three grew to eight just like that. Since they were next to go in an employee asked how many were in their group and after he was told he kindly suggested that they split into smaller groups because only seven customers were being allowed in at a time. One of the adults insisted that at least eight of them went in altogether and the employee reminded them that it is only seven, and if they wanted to still go in as a group of seven it would be quite a while because they would have to wait for all the people currently inside to leave. The moms and grandma complained but ended up saying ok. Twenty minutes passed and the lady behind us got really fussy and went to go bang on the door and complain to the manager. Her complaining got the moms in the big group riled up as well as a mom that was waiting further down in line. The manager and employees were all very nice and professional and didn't even blame or bring up the family in the front causing the wait(clearing the lobby just for them). The manager apologized, reminded them of mobile orders so they could wait in their car if they wanted to, suggested drive thru as well, and then went back in and of course all the moms started ranting "I'm calling corporate to report her". Just WOW, they were so rude to the employees and they still waited and got onto their phones to call and everything. The big family group went in right after that anyways. I don't mean to post an entire freak'n story, but the employees really didn't have to deal with the way they were spoken to. Working during a pandemic, especially at an extremely busy location, sucks enough and then to deal with people who bring the whole family and act the way that they do? Just terrible. I hope corporate looks at this if their complaints threaten her job at all. Thanks again Carla and...
