This is not a 5 star hotel but with that being said, we had an amazing time! Let's start with the good stuff. THE STAFF ARE AMAZING! Very accommodating, very friendly, super customer oriented. This is a newer, boutique style hotel. Loved the Bali inspired decor. Most everything looks brand spanking new. Beautiful layout, waterfall into the swimming pool, cozy bar with the best frozen pina coladas, happy hour is 3 to 6 with 2 for 1 for these lovely frozen bevvies. All within feet from the swimming pool. The outdoor pool menu has a nice array of food to choose from and it was all delicious. Something I would like to point out is that there were at least 3 outdoor bathrooms, 2 conveniently located by the pool as well as outdoor showers by the pool. There is a gym and a spa. As well as a "coworking" (conference) room which had plenty of space with tvs and air conditioning. Perfect work space and almost always vacant. The rooms are nice but a bit on the small side. Very clean. Not sure about the reviews saying otherwise b/c our room as well as our travelling companions were kept clean and tidy the entire stay as well as upon checkin. Beds were comfy. All bathrooms have this amazing granite sink that I had never seen anywhere before. Ok, so not everything is perfect all the time but here were some of the negatives...you will hear ppl coming in all hrs of the nite, Puerto Rico does have a vibrant nightlife if you choose to partake in it so I guess some of our fellow hotel guests did and we could hear them coming back. It didn't really bother us as we were on vacation and didn't have to wake early for work. The noise didn't last long and at least it wasn't an all nite party on the premises. TOWELS! The towels in your room will not be refreshed even if your room is cleaned. Whether they have a shortage or minimal machines, etc, I don't know. Yes, if you bug them, you will get them. It wasn't a big deal to me but it seemed to be a big deal to quite a few guests. Bring your own is my suggestion. The air conditioning in the rooms and all enclosed areas works amazing. They do like to conserve most things on this island and I shouldn't have to explain why so pls just turn off the a/c when not in your room, it literally cools off in less than 5 mins when you get back and the room stays pretty cool while you're away. The drawers to the dressers do not open. Never found out why. Don't bother complaining, they will say they will fix but don't. Suggestion to Bali Posh, invest in some cubicle storage for 2 corners of your rooms so ppl have somewhere to put their stuff, thanks. Adults only, friendly guests, had a blast, beach is across the street, beach chairs and umbrellas are provided with no extra cost but I'm sure beach guy appreciates tips. You are close to everything here. The Frappe Factory is right next door. There are also a couple bakeries close by. The airport is 5 mins away. If you rent a car, it's very easy to drive everywhere except Old San Juan, rent an uber, narrow streets as well as nowhere to park, save yourself the headache. We will definitely stay here when we come back, thank...
Read moreFor my birthday, I decided to stay at The Bali Posh Hotel, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience, though with a few areas that could use some attention. Pros: • Aesthetic & Location: The hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s perfect for anyone looking to capture some beautiful content during their stay, with plenty of Instagram-worthy spots around. The location is fantastic—close to everything! There are plenty of food options nearby, including the Frappe Factory, Latidos Café, and Panaderia España right next door. Panaderia España served delicious breakfast and lunch. • Beach Access: The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, which is super convenient. You cross a bridge, and boom—you’re at the beach entrance. Great for those who want quick beach access! • Food & Drinks: The food and drinks at the hotel were fantastic. Gio, the bartender, was amazing and made our experience even better. The continental breakfast, although basic (bagels, small croissants, hard-boiled eggs, fruits, Chobani yogurts, and granola bars), was a nice way to start the day. I do wish they offered a bit more variety, though. Cons: • Room Inconsistencies: One of the biggest downsides was the inconsistency in room amenities. I booked a 2-queen bed room, and it was missing a full-length mirror, a closet, and drawers to store clothes. They provided hangers, but without a proper place to hang or store your items, it felt inconvenient. I personally prefer to unpack and settle in, so living out of a suitcase wasn’t ideal. Also, my room had a refrigerator, but my friend’s room didn’t. They don’t have a microwave in the rooms either, but you can ask to borrow one from the staff’s break room. • Lack of Basic Amenities: There wasn’t a phone in the rooms, an iron board nor an iron in the room, which meant I had to request one from the front desk. Also, they don’t provide small washcloths, which was a little strange. • Questionable Charges & Maintenance: Be cautious with charges. The hotel has a policy where they charge for any makeup or stains on towels or sheets, considering them "broken." However, we noticed that the towels and sheets provided had stains and holes in them already, which was concerning. I made sure to take photos and notify them to avoid being blamed for any damage. Another downside was the occasional moldy smell in the rooms, which was off-putting. Overall Thoughts: While The Bali Posh Hotel offers a beautiful and convenient location, with great food and service, there are definitely some areas for improvement in terms of room amenities and maintenance. It’s a wonderful spot if you’re looking for a scenic, central place to stay, but I’d recommend managing expectations when it comes to the room’s functionality and being cautious about potential...
Read moreI really had high hopes for this new local hotel. That's what we wanted when we booked our trip. Man we should have just went to the normal "big names" we know. Upon arrival we were shown how to enter the room, instead of purchasing "hotel quality" door locks these are very similar to ones you purchase for your personal house. To make it even worse there's a "special way" to input the code, so sometimes you have to try 30 times before getting in.
Our room was very small. They stated they just finished construction on this side of hotel. Ok no problem. Gaps all over the floor and baseboards. Tile not wiped down from grout just to name a few. Also bathroom window wouldnt close all the way to lock so misquitos kept coming inside room.
We go out for a few hours and come back sweaty. Go to take a shower and NO HOT WATER. Took us a while to figure out you have to run bathroom sink water at same time in order to make it hot, but it doesn't last long. Wifi they promise doesn't even work here as noted on others' reviews. Making the TV 100% useless. I can't even stream anything from my phone to it. My boyfriend mentioned both problems to front desk. They 100% didn't care about the wifi situation, so if you're coming from out of United States beware. And said the hot water was an issue but never came to repair.
Our second day we decided to spend some time out by the pool. Well if you want good service there, look elsewhere. Ignored for almost 15 mins as the "bartender" sat at the end of the bar with his friend. No music outside, no tvs outside.... if your coming to be bored, sign right up!
Next day we hung the please refresh room sign out but because the area has such high winds it blew off and no one came in. Might want to look into something else so your guests get the proper cleaning they are looking for. Which is hard when the trash can in the room is made to stay in restroom. No other trash can in room and ones around property are small.
Last full day here was Valentine's Day. Moved all of the breakfast area patio chairs inside to the restaurant so no seating was now outside to enjoy. Came to room to shower and NO WATER in the entire hotel. Nothing from sinks, showers, toilets. Took about an hour give or take to fix.
Breakfast that's included is on first come first serve basis, so know that what you see first day is most likely same thing you'll get throughout your trip, decent but could have some variety, and when it runs out most likely won't be filled again. Looks like great place to stay on the outside and online but doesn't "offer" what is...
