This was our first time here. It's a very convenient location off Hwy 1. Free parking with handicap parking and access. One visitor car per stall. The surroundings are well maintained, quiet with outdoor seating. Second floor balconies have a few outdoor seating as well. Luna the receptionist was very friendly, welcoming, accommodating and patient. She asked us if we preferred first or second floor. The second floor end room in the back was spacious and quiet as she recommended. We had partial view of the ocean. The king suite was very neat, clean, spacious with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. We requested room service every day. The housekeeping ladies did a great job with cleaning up and providing fresh towels and linens. Coffee, tea, pastries and fruit are provided every morning in the front office which opens at 8am. The beach access is right across the street a 3 min walk. We absolutely liked the fact it's a wonderful walking town. We parked the car at the inn and walked down Ocean St to visit the restaurants, antique shops, coffees shops, gift shops and the pier. Our favorites were the Cayucos Coffee Shop and the Brown Butter Cookie Co. It's a slow town and not crowded so you can take your time. At the end of the day it was very nice to relax in our comfortable room and bed. We will definitely return. The prices are very...
Read moreThe staff are fantastic here. They genuinely care if you are having a good stay or not. I had to email them several times before my visit and the response was quick and friendly. There was NEVER a negative moment or interaction during my stay. I left behind a pillow that I brought because I couldn't pack it. Within 30 minutes of check out a gentlemen named Jose called to tell me that I had left it and that he would hold it for me until I came back. I intentionally left the pillow, but I really appreciated that he went the extra mile to try to get it back to me. This is the kind of service that you get here. ||Some might complain that the rooms and furniture are older, but honestly it is part of the charm of the hotel, and even the area. Like the stay, the property is warm and friendly. I will definitely stay here again when I visit. The rooms are clean, and more importantly smell clean. I also hate dirty carpet in a room, and mine looked brand new. ||My spouse is a strict quality auditor with over 800 hotels across the USA every year as part of his job, so we are naturally picky and have high expectations of our hotel stays. Cayucos Beach Inn would pass with top-tier ratings, no problem. I have paid more at other "premium" properties, but they were unwelcoming and completely forgettable. The value for what you pay at Cayucos Beach Inn...
Read moreWe spent a total of 12 nights here in a king suite which had a separate bedroom. We did have to change rooms for the last 2 nights as we added those on after we got there. Some one else had requested the room we were in and they honored that previous request which we really respect. All the staff, and the owner (who was there most days), were friendly and accomodating. Both our rooms were second floor. Our first room was on the end and had windows in every room that you could see the ocean from. . The room was quiet but there was some early morning street noise. The second room was in the middle of the hotel but you could still see the ocean from the bedroom. The sunset was around 5pm so its not like we would have spent the evenings staring out anyway. This room had less street noise but some outside foot traffic. The rooms are very large and clean with comfortable beds (even the sleeper sofa). With this being a very dog friendly hotel, they do a very good job of cleaning. While the furnishings are older they are well made, we did find the counters a little high. They had a light breakfast (muffins, pastries and fruit) and nespresso coffee in the lobby all day. We would certainly stay again if we come back...
