Okay hotel. The bed was comfortable. My husband and I were able to sleep in thanks to the blackout shades. We originally reserved a king jacuzzi suite. The jacuzzi looked nice but was situated directly next to the bed in the carpeted living area. The carpet in our room was completely saturated with water and when we were trying to go to bed, we couldn't handle the squishy carpet and the smell. We called the front desk and asked to be transferred to a regular king room with no jacuzzi and the staff was very accommodating. The staff was able to move us into a different room and upgraded us to one with a balcony view. They were very concerned about our happiness with our new room location and asked which floor we preferred and which direction we wanted to face. They were able to meet all of our room requests.
Our new room was nice. The bedding looked stylish and the room was much more relaxing having clean carpet and a love seat rather than just a chair like the jacuzzi suite. The rest of our stay was uneventful. We both found the bed very comfortable and slept really well. We didn't have time to use the pool or hot tub. Both were small and the pool area was packed with children and families when we passed by at 9 pm. I wish they another breakfast option besides Starbucks. We ended up going out for breakfast since the hotel was so close to the Park Meadows shopping area and there were a ton of food options to choose from. Overall, a nice stay. I just wish they wouldn't have given us the jacuzzi suite in the first place with the soaked floor. I don't know what Marriott was thinking installing a jacuzzi in a carpeted area; it was just a...
Read moreI travel 60-70 percent of the time for work and so while this hotel is a great option, I did have to deduct for a couple of things. The hotel is clean, well laid out and even as it was raining, I was never too far from an entry door which I appreciated. The room itself was nice and had all the things you’d expect and was comfortable. The view was of Interstate 25 which was lackluster… but I didn’t hear any road noise. They had an inside pool and hot tub that I did not use but I saw several families and individuals using it as I came in and out over the weekend. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room. They do have a Starbucks and a cafe that you can purchase breakfast at but I did not partake… I went elsewhere. They also had a bar but I did not visit that either. However, one minor annoyance, and this may be me but there are coffee makers in the room. I drink two cups of coffee each morning. Since I was there two days, the front desk staff said they had run out of regular coffee because their order had not come in but did offer some decaf coffee for me. This was only a minor annoyance. The grounds were safe and easy on and off of the interstate which was nice. However, all the places I was going were closer to Downtown and there were likely other places more convenient for me this trip in terms of proximity. All in all, a very good and safe option for a place to stay at a reasonable price if you don’t mind that breakfast is not included. I deducted one star for that but all other things with the...
Read moreI had booked three rooms for my family's stay in Denver. My daughter, who is pregnant, arrived at the hotel first. They would not allow her to check in without my credit card. I phoned the hotel to inform them I would be arriving soon and to give them a credit card number over the phone, but the desk clerk, who was quite abrupt with me, would not take the credit card number. When I arrived an hour later for check-in there was a long line at the desk, and when we were finally able to get our rooms, I asked the clerk if she was the one I had just talked to on the phone. She said yes, but there was no explanation or apology. My daughter and her husband finally got to their room, only to find out that there was no working shower in their room. Her husband informed the clerk and she explained that there was no maintenance individual available and there were no more rooms available. After considerable wrangling, he was able to get her to summon the maintenance person to fix the shower, which, by the time we returned hours later from dinner, had been done. The next morning, when I went downstairs to get a snack from the front desk, the clerks would not acknowledge me until I gave them a good rousing "Good Morning!" and went out of my way to be polite to them. Overall, this was about the rudest staff I have encountered at a major chain hotel. Why would I want to try a Marriott...
