I Scream Gelato - Lone Tree — Restaurant in Denver

We've been here before and it wasn't amazing but it also was as disgusting as it was today. Eight dollars for one cone with one scoop. It literally melted into water soup within minutes of walking out the store there's no sun out at 7:40PM. It's 70° and cool. It literally was just a dripping mess, cone was broken too. Associate didn't seem to care as we used the entire stack to clean up the mess and trail we made coming back in. We had cones at high point creamy just a day ago and they are not only cheaper $12 for two with tip, but they don't melt in a minute into soup. This ice cream tasted old and somebody else gave them a negative review yesterday on yelp (the day after we went) so I'm guessing that they're just using expired stuff that's not even able to hold it's shape anymore. Gross save yourself the trouble and go to the rocket...

This is a quaint business with many sweets for your taste buds. The perfect bite was the small cone she topped my gelato with.

While it was very enjoyable, it definitely had more of an ice cream taste and texture than gelato. (Strataticello Gelato was my flavor of the day.)

This said, I have only tried one flavor as this was my first visit here. I can definitely see myself returning for another visit. Many of her flavors definitely had the appearance of gelao; so I am guessing the taste of gelato as well.

So I would suppose it both depends on what you order and the outcome of the batch that day...

You are in for a treat whatever you choose. But a gelato purist may want to order...

The Gelato itself is 5 stars. More even. However, the service is subpar. No greeting when we came in and you could tell the woman at the counter seemed less than enthused to be there. I asked to purchase a bubble waffle itself and was told I would have to pay the full $11. Crazy. The location in Breckenridge allows you to purchase them separately at a lower price. So I don't understand the difference. I understand they are independently owned but charging $11 when you are only wanting the waffle and no exceptions is outlandish. She was also so slow at making my order that the people behind us left. This place would be 5 stars if they had better...
