I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a serious incident that occurred during my recent visit to your restaurant. I ordered a steak with explicit instructions that it be cooked without any seasoning due to a documented allergy. I also requested that it be prepared on aluminum foil to avoid cross-contamination.
I have been here many times and have not had any issues like this. I know exactly what to expect when it’s cooked on foil and what it should look like..
Unfortunately, the steak I received appeared to have seasoning on it, both in taste and appearance. When I raised this concern, I was met with disbelief and dismissiveness from Thomas. Management insisted the steak was unseasoned, citing their words that they cooked it on aluminum foil as evidence—despite the fact that it did not match the expected appearance of meat cooked on foil, as I had requested and I have gotten in the past.
What followed was not only inappropriate but deeply troubling: I was pressured to take a bite of the steak to “prove” it had seasoning. This put my health at risk and showed a complete disregard for my allergy. When I refused to eat the steak, Thomas argued with me and acted bothered to remove the item from my bill.
This experience was not only unsafe but humiliating. I expect food establishments to take allergies seriously and to treat customers with respect and care. The one bite I took immediately made my tongue burn and be numb for quite a while.
The only person who even remotely acted like they cared, was our server Justina. Who was great by the way.
The picture on left was how they brought it to me. The picture on the right with no seasoning is how it is when properly cooked for me. Yes, I have a picture on file because of this situation that I’ve had to deal with multiple times. Those times the managers fixed it with no problems.
I don’t care the things get messed up what I care about is being treated like an idiot when it’s not my fault cause I’m not the one back there cooking it. No one should be made to feel like an idiot when they can’t control their dietary problems.
I hope someone will take this complaint seriously and implement better training and protocols for managing to ensure that no other customer is put in...
Read moreWent to have dinner Saturday night 1/25/25. Was there about 730ish. My party of 4 sat at the table by the kitchen entrance. Our waiter was a older man. He was great no problem there. We ordered and food came out pretty quick. I asked for my steak to be well done when i ordered. Well done to me is NO pink. I cut into my steak and it was pink. I asked if I could have it taken back and put on the grill. The server took it back. A few moments later a lady came out and was very rude and said it was well done now, it just looks like that because of the lightning. I cut back into the steak and asked for it to be cooked longer it's still pink. She was very rude and I did not want to cause a scene. I just wanted my steak cooked the way I want, am I not a paying customer? She went to the back and then brought me back my food. Now the potatoes are cold, but the steak was cooked properly. Like I said I was polite and did not want a scene, but she proceeded to make a scene and she yelled at me the steak is well done now and it was well done before! it's just the lightning in here. She proceeds to take her cell phone out and turn on her light and put her dirty phone on my plate to show that the steak was well done. Come on now everyone knows that your cell phone is the dirtiest object that you can hold in your hand, and here she is putting in on the edge of my plate shining her light on the steak like an idiot. Bright light shining at the table, lady that works there yelling and being rude. Now it's a scene and people are staring. I wish I had gotten her name, but I was so embarrassed already and just wanted her to leave my table. I paid 166.68 for our meals and gave our waiter a cash tip, and ended up taking my meal home and cutting it up for my rotweiller to eat. I don't know why that lady was so offended? But she needs more coaching in...
Read moreHave to report tonight we had the worst experience ever at a restaurant at this location in Denver Centennial.(Saturday July 29) We took some good friends here for their first experience at Longhorn from New Mexico and had to leave the restaurant over 2 hours later totally embarrassed for recommending this restaurant. It started with giving us an estimated wait time of 20 minutes only to have to wait an extremely longer period of time and then to be told by a manager a list of excuses why it was taking so long. She implied that we didn’t understand that because it was a Saturday night it takes longer. Why were we told about 20 minutes I asked when they knew they were running behind in the kitchen? The list of lame excuses continued. We continued to patiently wait and finally were seated. Service started with waitress pouring drinks all over my lap and still trying and to give this place a chance we ordered. To see people who came in after receive their meal before we even got salads was sending a pretty clear message to us. We were intentionally being given bad service because of what? Complaining about the long wait? Management didn’t care one bit and end result was us walking out after 2 hours because of still not receiving our meal. Thanks for ruining our Saturday night out in Denver Centennial Longhorn. We have had many great meals at other Longhorn locations and truly wonder if this really reflects how the owner of this location feels his customers should be treated. We really went out of our way to give you location a chance and truthfully your Managers could of cared less. Will definitely be complaining to Corporate offices but also interested to see if owner cares about this horrible...
