While the purpose of my travel was for a medical procedure, learning about LEGO from employee Matt at the Park Meadow’s Center LEGO store proved to be a pleasant surprise. I played with LEGO sets as a child, and have occasionally purchased them for my nephew (specific ones he asks for online). Learning about LEGO from a staff member brought about a whole new level of appreciation. I had no idea there are LEGO sets for adults and that LEGO has grown to become a company supporting diversity and inclusion. I saw fun beloved characters and accessories (Thor’s Hammer set…my favorite Marvel character since the 80’s), sets my niece and/or nephew would love (Advent Calendars, Star Wars themed, etc!), and LEGO figures with disabilities that friends’ children have (including a minifigure with a hearing aid/cochlear implant and a wheelchair user). I highly recommend going to the store and speaking with the staff over shopping online. It speaks volumes about a company when the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly...
Read moreI signed my child up like I do every month for the monthly build, I spend roughly $1000+ a year if not more on Lego products. I have had 1 other instance where my son wasn't able to make it to the build event once when we were out of town unexpectedly and this time because he was sick. Last time a family member was able to pick up the pack for him so he didn't miss it. This time I was told that he couldn't have the item unless he was in store. That and they would not allow the Legos to leave the store unless it was assembled & built by him there in the store. This all coming from the store manager. I had recently ordered 500+ dollars of lego products, guess who is returning all of those products when they arrive, because you wouldn't let my son partake in the lego build for which we registered for because he was sick......pretty low class Park Meadows Lego Store. You lost my business...
Read moreGreat store, good selection, and the staff definitely add to the magic that is Lego. Last time I was there I saw an older gentleman employee walk over to a little girl that was playing with a set, and started to play with her. Thought that was so cool, although the little girl totally got shy and walked away shortly after, I made eye contact with the older gentleman and we laughed together.
I would rate 5 stars, the only reason I don't is because the selection isn't top tier. I strictly collect Star Wars and their selection of such is just a tad better than Target's. Which isn't something I would expect at an official Lego store. Ultimately they have a great general selection though, and I still highly recommend...
