This has been a frustrating stay, to say the least.||THE GOOD: While it is definitely dated in design, the rooms at least seem to have been kept in good condition. No one is going to look at brown walls, brown furniture, brown countertops as being modern by any stretch. But the room condition itself is pretty good.||THE BAD: That's about where the Good ends.||The Room: When we went in our room, we were excited to see a pilot light lit in the fireplace. But the dial to activate how long the fireplace lights up is broken. So no fireplace on our 40 degree nights here. Also, the A/C and heat are way too variable in the room. One bedroom is freezing while the other is much, much warmer. There are no slats to manually close off the air, so with a single thermostat, you have to figure out which rooms are comfortable at the expense of the others.||Laundry: We chose this hotel specifically because it offered amenities for our longer stay, like on-site laundry machines. But the laundry has been out of service our entire stay here. The solution that was offered was to walk next door to the Courtyard which shares a parking lot. But the Courtyard has one single washing machine, and one single drying machine. To serve two rather large hotel properties during our stay. Unsurprisingly, the machines have been in use almost constantly.||Shared Spaces: Clearly you know going into a Residence Inn that patios and other areas are shared with other guests. The main problem is that they are constantly occupied by smokers, making it hard to enjoy any of those spaces. Instead of saying it's a no smoking area to be available for everyone's enjoyment, they've placed large ash trays around the shared spaces to encourage it. Disappointing, as it would be nice to sit outside on the nicer days here for lunch or dinner.||Service: It's been disappointing, to say the least. Our room first went four days between housekeeping visits, then the next time it was two days. When I raised the laundry issue with the front desk staff, the only other solution offered was to pay the exorbitant dry cleaning rates. Why not arrange a pickup and dropoff wash-and-fold service proactivey when you know a major amenity advertised for your hotel is not available?||Overall, it's a Residence Inn. You are not expecting Ritz Carlton levels of service and product. But this stay has failed at the basics of what you expect out of a Residence Inn. It's been quite...
Read moreWe recently stayed here while visiting some family living in the area. We had booked a 2 bedroom suite since we had two families traveling together and one with small children. We arrived to the hotel later in the evening and at first our keys weren’t working. Went back to the front desk to get new keys and they still didn’t work. We went back a third time and the associate came back with us to try and get the room to open and she couldn’t. She left us in the hallway to get a master key, came back and it still did not work. She said she had to call somebody and went back to the front desk leaving our party in the hallway. We ended up sitting on the floor and ate the food we had got before arriving to the hotel. After a while had passed, we went to check and see if we could get into our room. The front desk associate said she was trying to call the engineer to come and fix the door, but she wasn’t even sure how long it would take. We were not interested in waiting as it had now been almost an hour of waiting in the hallway in front of the room and approaching 10pm and a one year old and four year old becoming extremely exhausted after traveling from the Midwest. We asked if she could give us another room because it was getting quite ridiculous that wasn’t even offered yet. She said she had no two bedrooms left, and she could give us other rooms, not near each other or connecting or call and see if the courtyard had connecting rooms. We just decided to stay in 2 regular rooms at the residence inn and wait until the morning to get into the room we had reserved. The front desk associate told us the engineer would be in at 7 am and work on the door right away. The next morning comes and we go down to the front desk to check the status of the room. The engineer was not even there yet and they had no clue when we would be able to get into our room. As we had plans in the evening, we had to push our plans we had in the morning to wait until we could switch rooms. Finally around 10am, the door was fixed. Nobody at the hotel offered to help us move any luggage or anything. Not a single thing was offered to us besides having the first night comped AFTER we asked for it. Honestly a terrible experience and start to our trip. Nothing was done to try and make up for the extreme amount of inconvenience that was caused. Extremely disappointed with the Marriott brand...
Read moreI was highly looking forward to the stay in Colorado. I come once a month to see my son and I look forward to the establishment we stand as it will be a large memory in our minds when we look back at this time we spent together. We stayed all but two nights in this establishment. He was disappointed by the front desk staff professionalism and inability to empathize with my rough two nights we experienced. If you have a baby that’s easily woken by slamming doors or screaming or even loud talking may want to reconsider staying here. The walls are insulation must be of poor quality here because you can hear literally everything. The first night we encountered a family across the hallway with children running up and down the hallway and screaming at each other at 11 PM at night the second night My daughter was woken by someone below having a party this included screaming yelling and loud music. I called the front desk and spoke with a woman named amber who said that she would send someone down tell ask them to keep it down. When the front desk staff failed to handle the matter I called back and asked what the next steps were and handling the matter she said to call nonemergency police. I called nonemergency police they arrive within 15 minutes and handled the matter in less than 20 minutes. When checking out I was never apologize to when I asked how my stay was I was completely ignored and shrugged off as if I was an irritant. She asked me how my stay was and I replied back with it was OK. Her response was great! You could tell that she could care less about how my stay was and I do not appreciate her ignoring the matter, it was certainly her position to address the matter from last night and apologize for it. Not to mention The poor cleanliness of the bathrooms one of the bathrooms has a shower curtain that had pink soap scum all over it and the other sliding door on the shower had pink soap scum caked in the corners... YUCK!! You would think in a place like this that they would have better cleaning standards. I think the only reason I would reconsider staying here is because of the convenience of its location outside of that I am highly reconsidering where I will be...
