I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at this hotel. I booked a room based on the pictures and information available online, expecting a suitable and comfortable accommodation for my stay. However, upon arrival, I was shocked and appalled by the deplorable conditions of the room. The room I was assigned had a filthy, urine-smelling carpet, visible holes in the walls, and was infested with insects. The overall state of the room was so unacceptable that I could only tolerate staying in it for a total of one hour. It is evident that this hotel is not properly maintained or cleaned, and is far from being suitable for accommodating guests. The only positive aspect of my brief stay was the assistance provided by Denzel at the front desk. He made an effort to alleviate some of the issues I encountered, but unfortunately, the condition of the room was beyond his control. I urge the person in charge of this hotel to take immediate action to address the appalling conditions of your hotel. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality of the accommodations are completely unacceptable. It is evident that this hotel is in dire need of renovation and improvement to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality.

While I stayed there 2 weekends ago I got woken up abruptly at 4 in the morning to the fire alarm strobe lights going off in my room and the fire alarm going off as well. Once I jump out of bed to turn the lights on. That's when I begin to realize my entire room was beginning to floodthe entire bathroom was flooded. The whole wall side by the AC was flooded an wet. The wall that connected to the bathroom by the bed was flooded, the carpet was drenched. I open my door to the hallway to see more puddles to find out by the fire department that somebody had set the fire alarms off on the third floor. More than likely from smoking in their room, I had work at 10 AM in Pueblo Colorado. So unfortunately, I did not have time to deal with the situation as I tried to go back to sleep to get somewhat of a sleep before my 2 hour drive. But ive reached out for a partial refund or a comp and now the manager is refusing to compensate me in any way shape or form.I would have gave this hotel,You know. Maybe a 4 star rating. Because the rooms are nice, but clearly the service is s*****!

This was a disaster. When i first walked in, it smelled bad like the air vent thing was musty/moldy/filter wasnt clean. I could hear the guy in the room next to me constantly coughing, sneezing, hacking up loogies. The in-room phone didnt work, so i was unable to call the front desk for anything. The TV had a remote without an input button so i was unable to connect my laptop to the TV (i watch tv thru my laptop with a wireless keyboard). Then in the morning i went to get my milk out of the fridge, and it was warm....fridge was not working at all so all the stuff i put in there went bad. Then the cherry on top, as i was getting all of my stuff together to check out, a little cockroach crawled out from under my stuff on the counter! See photo I got of roach running away. Definitely one of the worst hotel experiences i have ever had, needless to say i wont be back here.

I really wish I could give a zero. I lived here for over a year. (Unfortunately I had nowhere else to go at the time) stayed in room 211. My toilet didn’t work.. at all.. No working amenities. Fridge was constantly creating Nats. Yet I cleaned that thing out all the time, and it always turned completely off then back on for like 1 minute then died off again. Anything in fridge or freezer went bad 24/7. I had milk that went bad the same night I bought it because the fridge did NOT work. SMH. The AC/HEATER did NOT work, EVER! My husband actually pass out and had to be taking to ER in an ambulance because the room got so hot and we had no AC. The office and Alfred and Ms. Alicia refused to care. Our toilet leaked horrible to the point of setting 111’s fire alarms off. (BTW fire alarms in my room never actually worked — my room could’ve been on fire but I would’ve had to wait till smoke got to hallway and under and through my room door before I would know) We actually had to turn off toilet water after every use but it got so bad we just had to keep it off. Then they decided after a year that they wanted us to leave because the smell in room was unfair to other clients. I’m sorry what? Did you tell them we’ve been calling and “told” we were put on list to have toilet fixed for the whole stay? No? Just wanna blame us and take no responsibility?! Ok, Cool. Oh and they were telling other ppl that they have tried to tell us to take our our trash and blaming it on us like we did take out our trash and got attacked by the 50 dumpster rats in the process, and the smell was from the toilet that we couldn’t do anything about until they fixed it which they never did. I told them we were not going to be kicked out like that and that they needed to order a new toilet and Alicia said ok I am going to order a new one for you and so I said ok. And they never actually got us a new toilet. I also told them we have been here for over a year we will not be leaving just with a 3 hour notice. So then two months later we got an eviction notice. They originally wanted us to move rooms but we said no and refused because they were gonna use the new room to say we have only been in that room for a couple of days and then kick us out. They almost got someone else kicked out that way too. So I said helllll no. Well we eventually left before the eviction even went down because we found a new place and I had just had enough and I have an autoimmune disorder and so that room made my flare ups bad. I have been dealing with flare ups for several months even after moving because it was that bad and the halls were horrible too and managers getting high on the job. And employee Brittany getting high on the job. And then coming outside and saying you need to stop smoking weed because you’re stinking up my laundry room. (I was smoking a cigarette) when me and my husband went inside, we walked passed the laundry room and Britany was in there literally (I cannot make this ‘ish up. lol) smoking a J with her daughter, and doing her own laundry there and had the room hotboxed. I then went to the office later because I needed something and man o man her eyes were bloodshot and barely opened. It was hilarious I caught her in the act and she thought she was slick and had no idea I knew. And when I first moved in she was like if you smoke weed don’t do it inside here because I will have to fine you and I have fined people who are upset because they say well I didn’t smoke weed and I’m like yes you did because I smell it. Like Brittany I don’t believe you I literally caught you red handed. She probably charged all those people for her smoking weed. The only decent people even working there was Lana, and another lady who can’t remember her name unfortunately and one of them left and then Tiffany and in my opinion. Lana should have been Assistant Manager and Tiffany should have had Alicia’s job. SMH. Well, when we did actually leave, they apparently put a notice on our door. they were trying to tell the Sheriff’s that we wouldn’t leave the property lol....

Note: My star rating is largely based on what I would term a highly negative experience with both the hotel and its manager. However I have tried to provide objective information about the hotel.

Let's start with the positives: The rooms have a dishwasher and disposal (big selling point for me). Cooking therefore is much easier for those staying that long. Location has easy access to several express ways and while not close to the airport is relatively quick given its distance from the airport. There are numerous restaurants and shops for essentials within easy driving distance. The rooms are relatively large with a nice sized bathroom.

Negatives: Hotel staff is definitely hit or miss. The mid shift desk attendant was very helpful. Overnight is not capable of doing anything more than handing out towels. The day shift personnel I encountered were not necessarily rude but were unpleasant to deal, unnecessarily confrontational and very defensive. Housekeeping was in my experience virtually non-existent. When this topic is broached the staff was defensive, unresponsive, and unapologetic. While the hotel was "renovated," my "renovated" room had a non-functioning disposal, backed up kitchen sink, and a microwave which caused the master breaker to the room to trip leading to no power in the room. None of this was helped by a manager that never viewed any issues as being something to be resolved professionally but as something to be argued.. This led to a lot of drama and adversarial interactions with several guests and ultimately with me.

My Review

For the money per night, I would say this hotel is a step up from other economy tier "extended stay" hotels both in price but also in terms of in-room amenities that are in close proximity (Extended Stay America, Uptown Suites and WoodSpring). On the other hand the mid-tier Extended Stays (Staybridge, Hyatt House, Homewood Suite, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites and Home2Suites) are all much nicer, within blocks of this hotel and literally within ten dollars in price.

For those used to an Economy experience you'll be impressed, on the other hand if you're coming from a mid-tier experience this place is a huge step down. (I literally watched a dog do his business in the elevator lobby.)

Also understand that Choice hotels are all independently owned and operated so hotel policies and standards are NOT universal (that is to say if you'd stayed in a "nice" MainStay somewhere else this not an apples to apples comparison) and the Choice Customer Relations personnel have no capacity to assist you. The experience at the hotel is entirely based on the manager's performance.

Full disclosure, I had a terrible experience with this hotel and its manager so i'm biased on which side of ledger I'd come down on in terms of whether to stay here.

My Bottom Line: If you're willing to pay 75 to 85 dollars a night for a room, there are much better options with less drama, cleaner rooms, better staff, and functioning appliances within blocks. Given my experience with the hotel, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, its unfortunate because with a better manager, better staff and customer service this would not be an altogether unpleasant hotel. Unfortunately no renovation can deal with...

Well this Main Stay/ COMFORT INN has it all just drive by and you can see it, hell breeze is good you can smell it!! From the awesome array of 1000s of Dog crap piles covering the lawns. The fresh crisp sent of Meth in the morning or burning Heroin. Now the fun doesn't end there, oh no just getting started. Now here we go to Neverland... As you enter the lobby you can see the very unkept and grimy reception area and your senses is tickled by the smell of Weed, meth and human feces and urine. Now while you wait for someone to actually come to the front desk to help you which probably will never happen do to the fact they themselves are getting high off of the drugs the many lovely residents sells. But don't worry a lot of the homeless stay in the lobby and will leave plenty of used drugs paraphernalia and all sorts of interesting things not to exclude of course their human waste. Now as your child is walking beside you they can pick up the paraphernalia as a souvenir so I guess it's already saving you money. ||Here's a breakdown of the exciting fun things to do at mainstay per floor.||||1st floor : nosey older ladies that makes sure every bit of your business private or not will get to the correct housekeepers so that every single person knows your bowel movement schedule as well as who visited you and what time. This is very convenient in case you forget what you're doing which very much can happen here due to the mind altering air fresheners they use. Fentanyl is there freshener of choice leaving that lovely rubber smell.||||2nd floor: DRUGS, DRUGS AND of course moe Drugs, Incase you forgot your medicine or just need even more of a reality break the many colorful salesmen are there to help you with a smile and free sample of new upcoming Rxs. No worries of missing the pharmacy hours as they make themselves available all hours in various locations, hallways, lobby, or the outside smokers area where my son was offered a way to have his life directly sent to see Jesus.||||3rd floor:. NOW the real fun starts as your choice of "entertainment" is endless 😉 They have whatever your taste of fun might be from basic red light ladies of the night to the more exotic tastes. Fans only live streaming is happening here as well. As you peruse the halls you can hear all that exciting content being made. I for one am happy of all the religious content 🙏 being made with fans only to God, never have I heard more prayers to "Oh God I'm ...." ||||I can honestly say after my families stay here we won't be EVER be returning as its way to much fun and we are s simple and boring family that enjoys a breathing Hepatitis free lifestyle. But if you are live on the brink of death and disease adventure type this is the place for you.||100% sarcasm stay here at own risk I'm surprised the health department and or City government has not boarded up a barrel of gas in this establishment and tossed a roman candle at it. Stay away if you value...
